@@aikonni Back before Jesus, people had to sacrifice a perfect lamb to cover Israel's sins for the whole year hence the name "Day of Atonement". The priest would sacrifice the lamb and pour its blood on the altar to cover sins. The disciple John called Jesus the Lamb of God because Jesus was sinless and perfect and went to the cross to take our sins away by shedding His blood. In the old testament a lamb's blood covered Israel's sins BUT Jesus shed His blood to wash our sins away permanently. Jesus was slaughtered like a pure lamb to take away the sins of the human race. All you have to do is accept Jesus's sacrifice as final atonement for your sins. Say: "Lord Jesus, I am a sinner in need of a savior. I accept your death as a permanent atonement for my sins. I accept You as my lord and savior. Thank You for saving me. Amen." If you prayed this prayer and invite Jesus in your heart you are born again child of God.
