Notre dame held a top 15 defense the last few years he was the coach but midway though his career there they weren’t even top 30 in total defense, idk if LSU can will wait 5 years for a top 15 defense.

In 2023 LSU had one of the lowest rated defensive coaching staffs in the country. After Brian Kelly cleaned house and hired a new defensive coaching staff it is now one of the highest rated in the country. These guys will get it done.

DC Blake Baker ran 3-3-5 and 4-2-5 at mizzou. DC Blake Baker had mizzou defense in mid 50's year 1 and mid 30's year 2. Total and scoring. Dominate in '24? Probably not. Tiger defense will improve much more than the offense regresses with Nuss at QB.
