This was very inspiring to hear. I feel like I’ve seen Luanne on the Gupta Program forum before giving nice advice. You’re spot-on that it’s nice to hear from someone who needed time to heal with brain retraining. Thanks!

The human body seems to be by far the most complex physical object that we know of on this planet.

Finished it. Wow. As somebody with Hyperacusis this hits home so so hard. Such a wonderful woman.

Thank you - yep brain retraining and nervous system work really help the sound sensitivity as can the safe and sound protocol 🙂

I went through hyperacusis! It grew from wanting to resist sounds that increase tinnitus - then a bad series of trauma that ramped up through prolonged stress. Got a bit better but still wore earplugs to mow the grass and vacuum. Get this though - there are these annoying grackle birds around here. To chase them away allspring I did this mega claps. Even though my ears didnt like the claps at all, I hate those birds more. So clap, clap, clap. A few months of this and I mow the yard accidentally with no plugs and realize the mower sound isnt bothering me and is actually a little lush and not voilently disruptive as it was. So, I have maintained this improvement! I think it's a brain attenuation issue around low volumes, with a stress ramp that triggers improperly. I accidenally brain retrained myself out of hyperacusis. When it was at it's worst, holy smokes, any metal clanging was an irritant.
