How Madara Uchiha became an Icon, not only in anime, but pop culture in general. Madara was introduced later in Naruto Shippuden but his presence was felt throughout the story for much longer than that, ever sinse the Naruto vs Sasuke fight in the valley of the end. Madara vs Hashirama, Madara vs 5 Kage, Madara vs Might Guy, Madara vs Naruto and Sasuke, and Madara vs Ninja Alliance were all amazing fights, and contriubted to create the Legend of Madara Uchiha.
But there's much more than that. In this video we will explore why and how Madara became such an iconic character and the impact he had in the Naruto Series.

Madara actually got obliterated from the 2 meteor drop. He got back because he was edo tensei. So we can scale him to deidara. Imagine edo deidara exploding himself and killing everything in a 10km radius. Even people survived the meteor but nobody can survive deidara's explosion. Most people tend to forget this feat. Upto that point, Deidara had the most impressive AoE feat in Naruto.

She also ruins the theme of the Pain arc by being responsible for literally every bad thing in the world and she also prevents us from getting a satisfying conclusion to one of the best villains in Shonen. She's also the worst antagonist I've ever seen in any media.

However, an important detail is missing: The main reason Madara left Konoha or went rogue is *not* just because he had no place in the village, his clan turning their back against him, or bc Tobirama will bring downfall to his clan, *but* because Izuna isn't there with him anymore, his brother who was his reason to wish for peace in the first place. [Quotes from Madara to Hashirama in Ch 625] "I couldn't protect my brother. And I'm probably not even able to protect my clan, even though I promised my brother." "Maybe that time... I should have ordered you to kill your brother" Izuna's death was the root cause of how Madara went rogue and why his own clan abandoned him. Would a clan really follow Madara who failed to save his own brother and his entire clan when he had the chance to? (referring to Hashirama offering a peace treaty at EP 368/Ch 624) [Hashirama to Sasuke, EP 393/Ch 661] "You remind me of him, Madara's brother... Izuna Uchiha." "Madara was originally a kind man. He looked after his brother and loved him deeply. That is why I believe you have a chance (to stop Madara)." It just really proves how much impact the death of Madara's brother affected Madara in his development as the story's villain. It's just a shame how Izuna, as a character, didn't get enough depth into the story but still played a role. He is still yet to be acknowledged or recognized by a lot of viewers/readers in the fandom. It is overlooked many times that Madara was a loving character, who had only one thing he wanted to protect but was taken away from him. ..And this is why I love Madara as a character and a villain. I love Hashirama's ex. Kind of a loser, but that's really most his charm. His family died, his clan turned their backs on him even though he was kind right about the Uchiha being systematically oppressed, Tobirama stole his job, his boyfriend went straight and married someone else, he lost almost every fight he ever participated in, spent the rest of his life as a hermit living underground devoid of human contact save for a little orphan boy he abducted, got out schemed by said little boy and ended up getting the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki equivalent of sloppy seconds, his plan to save the world was to become a god who just sit for the rest of eternity in boredom while everyone else got to live their best lives inside a tree, he was tricked and killed off by sentient goo with a momma's boy complex, and to top it off he was given the Kisame treatment by Guy in Boruto.

I think Kishimoto should of had given further backstory from Madaras perspective as well, I feel like it would of done a better job showing details that some miss about Madara, because I see so many think he was just a war mongering psychopath, which couldn't be further from the truth. It could of explained better why he stops trusting Hashirama and their past dream, I believe there was more to it than the glimpses shown in Hashirama's story, also it is so strange we never learn his Mangekyo abilities. About him managing to defy the edo tensei I don't really think that was a problem except for not explaining how he did it, but there are some perfectly acceptable headcanons how Madara knew the signs needed to break the jutsu and one answer is unfortunately Black Zetsu as it was shown the 2 of them can communicate telepathically with each other and Black Zetsu knows the signs from when Obito was shown by Kabuto how the jutsu works. Madara deserved better, but he lives on in our hearts and in Kishimotos design of adult Sasuke (also in the new Sasuke retsuden manga in some action panels Sasuke looks way too much like Madara). Last thing I want to say is that People need to chill with Dub vs Sub debate this is not what the video is about, they are both good, but different people have different preferences.

Actually I think Madaras end, by black zetsu is good for him, not for naruto of course, but for him; He is never defeated in universe, he had to be brought down by the author directly - through a redcon that also sacked the story (even further) - so Madra even went even with the Author; He isnt brought down by power of friendship bull shit, but by the meta level of the Author, this means for many that he is not tarnished by defeat or failure; And again, the author had to "ruin his story" to take care of him - thats a dub in my eyes.

The fact Orochimaru was present in Tsunade's dream in the Infinite Tsukoyomi is one of those moments like when Jiraiya tried to Talk-no-jutsu him when he was leaving the village and murked Anbu Kakashi with that killing intent, or when she looked sad when she heard that Sasuke supposedly killed Orochimaru that's when you realize that Orochimaru was Jiraiya's Sasuke his only and best friend and that the Sannin really were that close in their youth and while Orochimaru was always fucked up they understood why he was so disaffected and anti-social. His backstory is like a combination of Naruto's and Sasuke's his parent's died in the second war, he was obviously from some weird snake people looking clan that clearly ended up linking up with the Uchiha, Chino's clan and the Senju in hell and he had to grow up mostly alone with no family as well as being and appearing physically differently from everyone else in Konoha. I apologize to the haters in advance but filler arcs, and his 180⁰ in the war arc made Orochimaru my second favorite character. Nothing will ever be more intimidating than Orochimaru's shear aura and "killing intent" or when Obito was masquerading as Madara and jumped down to cut of Danzo and his two jits and was like: "Are you REALLY going to TRY to fight me Danzo?" Keyword there "try" as he proceeds to absolutely clown two of the best of the best of the best of the Yamanaka and How do you spell it Ubirame clan? Idk those mf's barely got enough screen time for me to remember how to spell their clan's name but that other nigga......oh you're obviously Ino's second cousin or some shit like that you ain't safe we know where you sleep at.

There's also a fan made Madara manga that basically shows how he already knew about Kaguya and the Otsutsuki and he could use his Mangeyko Sharingan and Rinnegan to travel relatively short distances through time which I've heard was an ability he was supposed to have similar to was it Urashiki? But more powerful like he can't just rewind time by 6 seconds at a time he could go backwards or forwards up to 100 or so years but it got shelfed and brought back in the aforementioned manner in Boruto. In the fan manga he jumps 100 years into the future to see if Hashirama's world as he calls it has changed and wether peace has been achieved which it hasn't he finds a house in a decrepit abandoned village with 3 skeletons inside of it and takes a clean intact pair of clothing from them then walks up to a crib where the skeleton of a baby is laying and dismally says "Hashirama everything is as it always was" and he literally tucks the dead baby in with its blanket before he leaves the house then he legitimately senses Ishikii's power from another space-time dimension and pulls a Sasuke and opens a portal and goes straight for the smoke. Its a retcon where he basically already fought them all in their own dimensions, knew they'd be coming to their dimension and like Kaguya was also preparing for their arrival so he could become powerful enough to defeat them when they arrived to steal the chakra fruit and maintain the peace of the Eternal Tsukoyomi.

I seem to remember in the anime madara makes some reference along the lines of "what's not to like about being unkillable and having infinite chakra". Then he pops off the 25 perfect susanoo at once. Also his English voice actor is awesome too.

There's a short that does rewrite the ending it lets everything that happened happen and then shows a slice of life scene from Boruto of Naruto and his family and then boom Madara's Rinnegan eyes pop up superimposed over the shot and the rest of it fades to black with the Rinnegan eyes remaining and Madara simply says "so this is your dream Naruto Uzamaki" and asks "what if Shippuden ended like this?" With everyone trapped in the Infinite Tsukoyomi and even the entire Black Zetsu and Kaguya fight all the way to his marriage to Hinata and the births of his children was all just a part of Naruto's dream in the Infinite Tsukoyomi.
