I'm not sure it would make a difference here, but I liked tarantulas with AA against wasp swarms in my testing. Since I don't like tarantulas in general, I just keep my tarantulas equipped for anti-wasp duty. Great demonstration of the strength of fangs against phoenix to turn the round at the end!

I feel the same way. I am stuck at 1400 and encounter players with great moves, playing way smarter than their MMR suggests.

you show yourselves to be exemplars of a very well substanciated psychological bias. you have all the context and all the information watching this video. It has been done in multiple games with a mmr system (age of empires, rocket league and so on), when players comment "I am lower MMR but my games are faster, better, stronger" etc. they get put into a match with the very same players they critisized and get clapped every single time. If this is an 1500 match, theres a reason why they are there. Watching one video is not enough to come to the conclusion, that they are overrated or you are underrated, respectively.

Buying only one chaff unit for the WHOLE fight against Phenox is absolutly insane. Every unit Blue built was to fight the Mass Produced Wasps... Like, I agree that cutting through that chaff was important but not a single unit was built to fight Red's actual carry units.

@@mfreezer my friend even stoney said it, they may be players that stopped for a very long time and came back very rusty and are underperforming. No matter what the reason is, the truth is that the skill represented here does not match the skill expected from their MMR, I watch all stoneys videos and this is one of the very few times multiple people mention this including stoney, and it is for a reason

I think it's 1500 MMR players who only use one build, carry Arclight. Which is really good against standard setup in lower MMR.

They definitely need to fix the Fareseer and how it shoots twice at every target at long range. It would increase its usefulness just by decreasing its attack speed so it didn't waste so many attacks. Could make it even better by trading attackspeed for a little more damage so its DPS remains the same. I have just been avoiding Fareseer until they fix it. It is an interesting unit and I really like it, it just wastes way too many attacks.

Yeah, there was a huge amount of inefficiency. The first 2-3 were probably ok just because of the wraith but after that fangs, mustangs and even crawlers would have been a better buy.

interesting seeing a scenario where placing fangs in the back line to be used as a damage unit instead of normal chaff shield unit. about 1500 mmr. im happy to hear that i came to the same conclusion as you did when i was in 1500. when in doubt spam more chaff! im still in 1500 but im pretty sure with enough time i can surpass that number. i would have picked super heavy armor for the meme. i dont know why but i just love overly tanky units. i am curious if adding a different AA unit would have made more of a difference rather than relying on arcs and forts for the AA. also wow adding just thoes 2 fangs really makes a difference.

The main problem was that every anti air unit was fighting the Mass Produced Wasps that were just their to draw fire anyway. He never built anything to fight the max tech/high level phoenixes. Farseers could fight Phoenixes, but only if you win the chaff battle as a Phoenix can outrange and almost instantly kill the Farseer if allowed to shoot them.

Always gotta stay nimble and bend based on opponents board. Also, going for air rarely means buying mostly air units. It means buying 3-4 air units. Maybe you buy 6-8 if you are swarming them. But a solid majority of your units will still be standard ground guys.

I dont want to be rude, but I'd like my 25m back please.... That was painful to watch... I have no idea how this was a 1500MMR match and that's from both players...
