I really sat here and watch this man play chess for an hour straight. If there's anything I've learned so far as a beginner is that I should: Castle if there are no attacking threats as quickly as possible Put rooks on Open, Semi-Open, and Half Open files Develop your pieces on squares that either attack, defend, or support other pieces on the board If there's a checkmate threat, do not be afraid to pursue it. It's not like you've got anything better to do Never play a move that doesn't help your position such as random pawn/bishop/queen moves that your opponent can exploit Thank you for the content Mr. Vibes 🙏

You missed the mate in 1 at 5:00. Qf5 is defended by the pawn. The bishop makes a wall, the queen checks and trap the king along its rank and files.

I love how Martin and you have a history and he wasn't going to just let you instantly triumph over him because he never does. Martin is a closet grandmaster and I feel like he's treating us like his kids and letting us win. Martin may be my favorite bot and you may be my favorite streamer. Do you have any digital chess boards anymore or have you recently acquired any of the new fangled ones? That would make for a different kind of video but otb play could be a pleasant change even against an AI. I recently got a chessup board and it's fun to play against a computer on a real board. Challenging and fun 😊

Martin is actually not so easy to beat, because he plays all the bad opening moves that you aren't prepared for. What Martin has going for him is, unpredictability. You aren't trained for the best responses for his bad moves. Speaking as an 800.

Bots from what I seen not that I'm vary good. Is all the makes them harder is the rate of blunders. How ever all bots can see check mate in 1 for you and them. Most bots I feel like are roughly a hang full of points closer to 700 regardless of the listed. It's around 1300+ is when they start to either play gimic moves or stop blundering as clearly, like giving free queens.
