The Biltmore Estate goes all out for Christmas every year. They bring in a crazy amount of Christmas Trees including their famous largest dining room tree that they do a whole ceremony about bringing into the house.
They decorate up the whole house and grounds. Wait until you see it at night!

Delightful video, and gorgeous pictures! I am reading a book about The Biltmore called "The Last Castle" and I wanted to see what it looked like as I am reading. It is a truly magical place, and I am thrilled it is still so well cared for. The Christmas decorations are exquisite. I hope to visit one day.😃🏰🎄🎄🎄🎄🪴🌲🌳🌲🪴🍷🍾🥧🏵🌹🌺🌺🥀🌹🏵

The Green, Winery, inn, and Village area were added in more recent times to accommodate tourists. It used to be where the Biltmore Dairy Farm was located when I was younger. Locally to those old enough to remember, the Vanderbilts were known as land barons. I'm not quite sure how he acquired the property, but it was occupied by various settler's farms, homes, and townships before he acquired the title, and began logging it. When I was a lad, most of the locals as far away as Rosman, Black Mountain, Swananoa, and Waynesville did not look kindly on the Vanderbilt family. Many were forcibly evicted from their homes. Much of the original Vanderbilt property is now part of The Pisgah National Forest. When he died it was given to the National Forest Service.

I have been able to visit the Estate 5 times! 2 at Christmas and 3 during the Spring Bloom. I love the smell at Christmas, the house smelled of Gingerbread. I would love to do a horse back tour of the Estate.

You did not pronounce Pisgah correctly. Pisgah National Forest was all Vanderbilt land until Edith needed $ after George died. It's still privately owned by the Cecil family, Cornelia's great grandchildren.
