My budgie lay eggs. She laid eggs one at a time. 5 eggs total ( 10days).She is a great momma. When she lay the first egg, she sit on and take care of the egg.

Hi, I just bought a different nest box for my parakeet couple because they have layed eggs before but never hatched they’re on their third batch right now. Is that coconut fiber beneath the eggs? Or do you not provide anything for them to lay them on? Idk what to do I feel she’s getting stressed because they’re not hatching.

I put coconut fiber but later on she don’t want it. Just a paper towel it’s fine. Usually they are hatching on or before 21 days. If not check the egg with a flashlight or maybe the egg not fertilize

Maybe , I am sorry I’m not sure. When my budgie laid her first egg, she’s with other budgies but I noticed that other budgies get jealous and wanted her egg. So I moved her in separate cage with her own nest box.

Hello, My budgies laid 5 babies, all hatched. The mother took care of all of them except for the last one that hatched late. It’s been 6 days and now on the 7th day the father pushed the baby out of the next box :((, the little baby is very weak and I had to find anything to give it to it so I tell it that there’s still hope But sadly I cant find a hand feeding formula anywhere in my place and my mother doesn’t accept online shopping,, So My only hope is to make my own formula so it can survive I put boiled potato and carrots and smashed them very well and put some warm water on them to make them more liquid. Then I sprayed some calcium on them and stirred very well. Please help me please, how often should I feed it and what should I add to the formula to make it more healthy for it, it’s very weak but I will not give up on it.
