Strewth Mate! Oz don't have "monitors"! We 'ave Goannas! . About the interior: I've read that Australia's largest Station (cattle ranch) was Victoria River Downs in the Northern Territory. It's area was equal to Denmark. Sadly, after the two World Wars, the federal government decided to divide the big inland sheep and cattle stations and give them to returning soldiers. Victoria River Downs was divided into four. I believe Anna Creek Station in South Australia is currently the largest. For a good read about life in the olden days on a Sheep Station in northern New South Wales is: The Thorn Birds by Colleen McCullough It includes portions about life in New Zealand and Northern Queensland and about the inner workings of the Catholic Church.

Damn, thats an insane amount of death adders. And that was the biggest childrens python i think ive ever seen. I wouldve liked to see more of the yellow spotted monitor. Amazing elapids and pythons. The Pygmy mulga seemed the most dangerous of them. Also amazing yellow-spotted monitor, I didn’t expect such a find.
