Gohar's is a supreme athlete and she has fearsome attritional powers on the court. For years, she has been my all-time favorite on the professional circuit. I however feel that her attacking game is relatively weak and behind those of Tayeb, Sherbini and Hammamy. Her intrepid power is her greatest strength; she has a lethal attacking boast on the backhand; a killer nick she uncocks from time to time also on the backhand; and it is marvelous how she can float the ball both attackingly and defensively. But her short game overall simply isn't piercing or decisive enough. Even in a match like this one where she emerges as the winner, we see too many shot selections that are tentative and poorly executed. Her game can thus come out as one-dimensional and predictable. Furthermore, she can be very vulnerable to an attacking short game, something El Hammamy in particular exploits to great advantage and effect. Yet, with all this, Gohar is Nr. 1 and winning tournaments. Just how even more indomitable would she be if she ironed out those glitches?!!

Tayeb is just played great ! That no let….. again Ref dropped his eyes somewhere even with the review!
@altaroxllc31842 жыл бұрын
The reason it was a NL is because Tayeb ran into the back of Gohar, rather than running toward the ball. Refs penalize taking the wrong line...
@losuk82 жыл бұрын
@@altaroxllc3184 looking on the top, when we judge, not only the line but the whole pic ! She need space for swing and Gohar is right in front of the best position that stopping Tayeb to take the shot, it means Gohar is too close to Tayeb that moment, and the ball is too loose ! No let is ridiculous

Can someone explain the No Let at 9:14 ? Gohar muffled the Drop , it bounces back at her and quite high meanwhile Tayeb is up and ready to lounge forward to hit the ball but can't cause the second bounce is near the feet of Gohar. Tayeb could've easily hit that ball if she wasn't in the way even if she dove before... Even the commentator doesn't get it when they see the replay.

Tough match. Considering El tayeb has been out of the game she played fantastically well. Gohar is not a push over she’s ruthless.😊

@tomtruhelka2 жыл бұрын
Can you elaborate on why you think it was a good decision?
@jomangeee2 жыл бұрын
@@tomtruhelka she was on the ground 9:08, got up, ran towards her opponent instead of the ball. Had she ran towards the ball she might get it! The ball bounced at least 3 times before it reached close to Gohar. 1-The fact that she took a risk by anticipating the ball in the opposite direction, and consequently being in the wrong place, that's on her. otherwise every player will play his/her opponent instead of the ball and claim a stroke. if you watch squash that's the advantage of playing up front and delaying ball play, your opponent is stuck in the back, well ElTayeb decided not to wait but misjudged where the ball was going. 2-had she waited in the back, she might or might not have been able to get the ball. So it is a good decision.

can't believe that No Let call. I would have called it a stroke!
@stevehughes15102 жыл бұрын
The no let decision at the end was a 50/50 call however the ball was bouncing and not tight. Nour should have been given the benefit of the doubt as she'd scrambled everything back and was moving magnificently. Sometimes the referees can be too literal in their interpretations. A great game from these two.
@hannibalking852 жыл бұрын
absolutely shocking decision how was that a No Let, Tayeb was just a lunge away atleast give a Let
@sgno.1ecommercewkshop3372 жыл бұрын
The No Let decision by the referee in the 5th game is a SHAM ! It could have been a Stroke if Tayeb didnt fall, so at least the very least, a LET. What a shameful decision, ppl will talk. Referees should be investigated and reviewed after matches.
@hokicoki2 жыл бұрын
Unreal, what a game but a bad decision at the end.
@ewallt2 жыл бұрын
Hard to say. I watched it quite a few times. Seems like it could have gone either way. Not sure what the criteria is for the video ref. If it’s there has to be enough evidence to overturn the decision, no let seems possible, but if he starts from scratch maybe a let. It didn’t look like a stroke to me, as there was a line to the ball, but the question is if she could have gotten it.
