You can do similar on Arena using Tarrian's Soulcleaver. No urza's saga makes this less consistent, and no "always yes, always yeild" makes it more button-intensive, but its theoretically there.

Just to fully parse the line: play GF using waste+spawn, play BB using land+ spawn: makes a spawn, use land to Natures claim pithing needle, use land to cast Blade: makes a spawn, use 1 spawn to equip, use last spawn to start chain.

I personally prefer Rosie Cotton of South Lane. You get a free food token, and it doesn't require sacing your tokens to go infinite. It also opens up your options from just basking broodscale to also scurry oak (1/1 squirrels) and herding baloth (4/4 baloths)

In the energy match there is an argument that just killing their board would have won the game faster., and you won't lose if you kill their board thanks to ballista's ability to add counters for 4 mana.

Been running a Broodscale deck since it came out.. give Ghost Lantern a shot. Basically does the same thing but with an Adventure attached that can bring Broodscale back from the graveyard in a pinch.

@@KibreezDeliciousPizza Historic. A lot of good synergy with Karn and Planar Bridge. In theory with the Staff of Domination in your sideboard, and a few Urn of Godfire in the main deck, you can infinitely draw and play anything. Helps to destroy any etb life gain your opponent is running. If you’re up against a wide deck, just pump with +1s and pull out a Manifold Key to swing in for unblockable lethal.. I find Snakeskin Veil to be the best way to both trigger and protect the combo early if you bait them into trying to remove Broodscale on turn 3. Assemble the Team makes turbo Broodscale competitive, it’s a bit slower in paper magic.

In your very last game if you had k commanded to remove the raptor, then it was likely he wouldn't have had any burn damage. We know that's not how it would have ended since he had another red card, but it would have decreased the number of cards that could win him that game. Doesn't change the outcome, but still worth mentioning.

These are the combos I LOVE in paper but holy crap I hate them online. I've lost games because I feel bad and don't make 200 mana for a 100/100 walking ballista, so I just get close to lethal, then something happens and they gain 3 life and I lose because of it.

1:13:10 - Wouldn't using haywhire mite instead of Nature's Claim get you there since it gains you 2 life? If you play what you can without sacrificing and just wait for combat and sacrifice Mite to get the Needle, theres a chance they miss lethal or something. I'm not saying its a great out, but it definitely has a better chance than conceding lol

14:00 this is why the 40 plus land argument you have as a commander clash rule is flawed. can be land screwed or land flooded just as easy
