You just need to cut it open and that is what Toyota want you to do because stock supra doesn't need that vents but if you make it 1000hp+ you can cut it open so you can make it fast easier

Porsches are refined and not flamboyant. its a car known for its reliability and pure driving experience. it's a daily driver that luxurious, fast and yet doesn't attract too much attention. The supra or known as a BMW is not refined has already had a recall and just doesn't have a classy and subtle look like a Porsche should. Compare the supra to the C8 Corvette,not a Porsche

Porsche have a 2 out 5 reliability rating as for a Toyota has 4 out 5. A Toyota will outlast any Porsche and you can buy several Toyotas for the price of a Porsche. Toyotas motto is simplicity and Porsche is more about racing. Also Porsches are a pain in the ass to work on, their isn't much room and most of the time you have to completely remove the engine from the car which takes an acual lift to do so.

Not Really. Jackie Ding goes into detail about the issues with most of the vent cut-outs. Primarily for the hood, there's no functional metal opening on the other side. The doors, well those are just plain unusable.

@@E9X330 yes they are functional, they were put their for that purpose to be cut out and fitted with aftermarket vents that you can buy specifically for that car.

stupidity the car is a rebodied Z4 with some tweaks so what you should be talking about is how does it compare to it's donor? As for the vents they have in and out for the engine and the brakes on all corners but I agree if your going to make them make them real active vents do what they portray they are for, the fact that they did not shows that they where not going for performance, they only wanted appearance.

BMW developed the Z4 and MK5 supra concurrently, the MK5 is literally just the coupe version of the Z4 Roadster.

wrong. go to the video when supras engineers talks about the car. the vents isnt fake they are just plugged and kepot there for tuners. they had all vents opend but then the car wasnt as stable on the tracks.

Maybe vents are fake bc of drag. Possibly they saved some mpg on aero efficency. Every hole in car - more drag. Stock car does not need so much air flow under the hood. Btw i dont like the looks and the whole idea of GERMAN JDM.

not fake vents IT IS PLUGGED VENTS, the car went unstable with vents but toyota kept them for tuners to finnish, for downforce, brakecooling etc

The fake vent are not intend to be there for show , if you tune the car to 850whp , you need cooling for the engine , the brake and so on , the car was made to be modify , let's thank Toyota for that.

No, they are fake vents for show. You would literally have to hack the car up to make them functional. Made to modify means there is a provision to have vents, not require a sawzall hack job with half-ass functionality on a $60k car.

All the “fake” vents are made so that if you start modifying the supra you don’t have to cut the panels and you just take the plastic piece off and you have more cooling

Those vents are almost all unnecessary/wrong location should you convert the car for track use. I’d be interested in seeing the “performance” version for sure.
