Not a lot of people realize The Winter Soldier is a super-soldier himself. He also had been given variant of the serum that gives Bucky similar attributes as Cap's. It pairs well with his fighting style.

@rbrtck6 жыл бұрын
Never mind _Civil War_ , I think it is blatantly, undeniably, in-your-face obvious in _The Winter Soldier_ that Bucky is an enhanced super-soldier very much like Cap. The robotic arm is clearly not his only super-strong body part. Realistically he needs a super-strong body core to support it, but even more obvious is, for instance, when he jumped onto a car from the freeway bridge like it was nothing. I don't think the audience watched that scene or the whole movie, for that matter, thinking he was just an ordinary dude with a metal arm. It is quite apparent that he is a direct counterpart to Cap physically. And what about kicking that poor guy into the engine of a quinjet from really far away? A normal human can't do that! I find it difficult to believe that anyone could think he is not a super-soldier.

Now I want to learn Systema. I'm a writer and love, love, love writing hand to hand fight scenes (I also write a lot of sword fight scenes but they are far harder for me as I feel it doesn't have the diversity of attacks unarmed fights do, mostly variations of slashes and cuts, diagonal, horizontal, vertical downward, upward etc) and I find the first fight scene between Cap and Winter soldier so inspiring as a fight scene. It's amazingly well choreographed. It's awesome!

@Godzillarex: Great video! One thing I especially like about how they handled the Winter Soldier's fighting skills. I like that he sticks mostly to one style in this analysis (Systema) to the point that he knows it very well and to the point where other elements of different styles mixed together effectively with his base style/skill set. I can somewhat relate to mixing elements of other styles into my own martial arts practice. I used to mainly focus on Judo and Taekwondo with some elements of other styles, mostly grappling with some joint locks found in various traditional styles of Kung Fu, alongside other methods. Several years ago, I suffered an injury that lead to chronic back pain, so I had to switch my methods up. I now use a combination of Combat Hapkido and an emphasis on Boxing punches and basic footwork, Muay Thai style elbow strikes, and various other hand strikes. (ex: hammer fist, palm strikes, etc.) I'm also hoping to take up Kali once I'm physically well enough to train more regularly. As of late, I've found emphasizing on Boxing techniques have been the most effective part of my arsenal so to speak. I mention all of this because I feel that it can be just as advantageous to focus predominantly on one style that can act as a bridge to elements of other disciplines to enrich one's main style or method as it can be to utilize elements of many styles. I feel the term, "Jack of all trades, master of none," can be unfairly degrading towards those who train in multiple disciplines at once. Although I personally prefer to focus on one art predominantly but learn elements from others (again kind of like Winter Soldier seems to have done) I feel that calling someone a jack of all trades but master of none is really selling that person short. They know plenty to be dangerous and they are still continuing to improve in all of them. In the meantime, they still possess a great deal of skill and prowess on top of their well-honed knowledge/capabilities. I feel your videos do an excellent job of representing both ways of learning martial skills and the time and passion you clearly put into these videos is apparent. You have my admiration for your work and respect and appreciation for what you do. Thanks again for being awesome!

Thanks man! I really appreciate that. I do plan on getting to him at some point. In the meantime, check out my video on Michael Jai White! It's on my Fight Scene Breakdown playlist. Also, a brand new video in this series premieres this Saturday! It's the most in depth analysis I've ever done.

In a H2H combat bucky will win against batsy coz of his bionoic arm and coz he is a super soldier... But with gears batsy will win

One of the most underrated marvel characters ever. Why does my boy Majestic Haired Bucky get no love?

Hey man! Could you please do an in-depth analysis for the T'Challa v M'Baku ritual combat scene from Black Panther? I just feel there's so much to talk about and break down given their contrasting fighting styles and the epicness of it all (T'Challa's panther-like speed, agility, and martial arts skill against M'Baku's gorrila-like brute strength and raw power). It's my favorite scene in the film.
