KZbin shorts are limited to 60 seconds so when I finish with some of my longer animated stories I have to cut out some of the shots to make it fit. This one needed over 20 seconds of animation cut and I thought it lost some of the friendship between the two characters so here’s the original full animated story as a “regular” KZbin video! What do you think? Should I make more of these animations in the future? Maybe even longer still?

My room is a lot like this as well. I have all sorts of supplies for various projects, but little that's actually done. I bounce from project to project. I got most of these supplies before I was diagnosed with ADHD, and even after medication I still rarely stick with one project all the way to the end. However now that I physically can focus, I have gone back and finished several. Right now I have a bucket list of unfinished projects to work on, but in my heart I know I'll never get it all done, especially because I still have the tendency to start new projects on a whim and then leave them untouched for months or years.

YEs! My art room/ studio is full of everything. I do a fair bit of artwork! I even started a utube art channel. Not this one. After a car accident I can only paint or draw in small timed increments so I make time but I still procrastinate. I realise now that like most people I took my skills for granted and now I wish I had of done more art but it’s all good. I got to play in a semi successful band and worked at Disney and Hanna Barbera as a cel painter. I’m on disability now but hey, I’m happy and grateful to be alive and able to walk after a severe neck injury. Please all who do art and craft, make time for it, as you never know what’s around the corner. Life’s too short. Love this comic and love to all ❤🥰✨

I can completely relate. I love researching and learning to do things on my own. Among them are C++ programming, photoshop, advanced excel functions, drawing, 3D modelling with blender, Zbrush, videogame programming and design with Unreal Engine, html programming and css web page design, piano, book writer and layout, language learning... etc. It is true that it takes a long time to make progress. Many times when I focus on one of these skills for a while, I tend to forget the functions of each of them because I finish projects and continue others on other platforms. That's why for some time now I have been taking note of any step or function that each program has so that I don't forget what I have learnt and have worked so hard to collect information on how to do it.

I have met so many people like this. Part of it is how narrowly we define "hobby" (just as "hobby" has grown to mean "anything you do that's not for money"). I sew, knit, crochet, embroider, tat, rug hook, needlepoint, and bead, but it's all towards clothing or household items, and it's better described under the general term "needlework", not least because of the overlap in tools and materials. I find people who make researching the hobby into the hobby tend not to think about the end goal of creating things. They just like the acquisition part. Which I guess is fine if they eventually have a good garage sale 😊

I kinda relate to this - I got into a phase where I thought repairing old electronics was cool, and I opened up my old DS Lite I don't use anymore to fix some button contacts - that was it, that's all that came of that. Another time I got into retro console modding and made a nice Wii setup with a handful of mods on it - used that Wii to play one game after, and it is now in my closet. Taught myself how to draw with the help of the internet, practiced for a few months before I started to actually be happy with how the drawings turned out, and I rarely ever draw anymore. Etcetera, etcetera. Basically the only individual hobbies I come back to consistently are video games, books, and music.
