I've just started with essence. My skin has changed so much as I've aged. I'm 62, still acne prone, but instead of oily I'm dry or dehydrated and sometimes have rosacea! So no more basic toners, and careful with exfoliation. I never thought about layering essences till I watched your video. What a great way to get glycolic and lactic, and even C, without stressing my skin! Thank you, thank you, thank you. 💕⚘

I love how excited you get when you put your essences on. I have recently discovered essences and totally understand your obsession. It has taken my minimal skincare routine, which I always regarded as a chore, to 10-15 minutes of "me time" where I truly enjoy pampering my skin and watching the vast improvements in my skin, which I have neglected terribly for 47 years, up until only 3 months ago. I love your videos, I have learned so much from them, and they have also prompted me to research all things skin care and how to best rectify my particular skin issues...learning about ingredients...different compositions...and where it's important to spend $$$ and where not so much. Love your energy, keep up the great work. Much love 💗

I love the "I'm From" Mugwort Essence. Its incredibly hydrating. The Tatcha Essence isn't so good. It has phenoxyethanol listed in the ingredients. The following is from the ORGAID site, but many other scientific/skincare sites can be found that echo their findings. :- Phenoxyethanol Used as an anti-bacterial in cosmetics and stabilizer in perfumes, phenoxyethanol is actually very harmful. It is harmful if swallowed, inhaled or absorbed through skin, especially to nursing mothers or infants. Phenoxyethanol can have an effect on the brain and the central nervous system. It irritates skin and eyes, and can cause blistering on skin as well. Although many skin care products (even some organic products as well) use phenoxyethanol in small amounts that is “not harmful” to skin, if you use the product multiple times a day, every day, it can cumulate and possibly affect you. Moving onto the Pai Essence you mentioned. Unfortunately it contains 5 different types of fragrances!! I was shocked Elle! Why a decent product puts fragrance/parfum in skincare products (or cosmetics) is a crying shame. It seriously needs to stop. So sorry you be the barer of bad news but I thought you would appreciate knowing. Much love always, 💜💜💜

Chrissy Moss I agree totally, I used to follow Elle’s skincare routine to a tea and noticed No difference to my skin except my bank account, until I switched my whole skincare products and now I can notice a Huge difference in my skin and so does everyone else that knows me, even my hubby has noticed a difference in the texture and feel of my skin....I’m not being disrespectful towards Elle because I love her knowledge on skincare and makeup it’s just what works for some doesn’t always work for others @60 years young...🇦🇺💓💓...Plus a lot of the products she talks about aren’t available here in Australia 🇦🇺 and to have them shipped and the exchange rate, I almost had to sell my soul to the devil Lol 😂

@@-nellie-m3711 I love Elle and can't praise her highly enough. I'm now becoming very aware of ingredients, especially those that are harmful either to us AND/OR marine life. If there's an expectation that any one person would know everything then just that's bonkers. Passing on, hopefully, useful information is key and we have such a wonderful community here that enables us to do just that. A great site to check for ingredients in a product is : incidecoder Just type in the BRAND name and then scroll down the list of products provided. It's so easy.
