interesting. I see sometimes there is the traditional chinese characters; is it so written the taiwanese language? sometimes i really can't recollect words with their meaning. how different exactly the two languages are? thanksss

The difference is like german and spanish

Taiwan writes with traditional characters whether it is for Mandarin or other languages. Some characters are the same like 我, others are similar like 国 vs. 國, and some are completely different like 个 vs. 個. Hong Kong and Macao also use traditional while Singapore, Hainan, and the mainland use simplified.
