Just a reminder if you could use the Prosumer battery on the trimmer to compare the batteries. Thanks Ron

Yes I remember and I did. I sent you a message on Instagram with my results.

So I just bought one on Saturday fully charged battery and was able to cut a front and backyard both sides of the house and of course we had rain for three days was able to cut the backyard and one side of the house before the battery went down. How did hell in Texas and had no problem starting up multiple times and really clipping the grass at a nice level and into a much smaller mulch than my Honda. The 60 W battery charges up extremely fast.

Be interesting to see how they last under an actual load not just a skim cut.
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess7 ай бұрын
I’ve been actually testing that this spring. So far I’ve been able to mow 6-7 lawns in heavy lush spring growth with the addition of a high lift blade to be able to bag in tougher conditions with the big 11 Ah battery. Thanks for watching.

@@LawnCareBusinessSuccess it’s good to see the comparison from light to heavy use. I’m sure more contractors will appreciate that feedback.

Have you used the mower on wet lawns that were covered in leaves. Or did you go back to the exmark 30
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess Жыл бұрын
I stopped using the commercial 30 once I got the battery mowers I’ve been testing. Had to put them through all the same conditions to see how they truly perform. With this Kress model it comes with a blade that is optimized for longer battery life. It works fine for lawns, especially dry lawns. Once you get into wet lawns or leaves then it doesn’t perform as well. They do have optional blades available though so I requested those. One is a high lift blade and one is a mulching blade. With the high lift blade it performs as expected and will bag the leaves and wet grass much easier. It does take a bit in battery life though with that blade. So instead of doing on average say 12 lawns on a single charge of the big 11Ah battery with the regular blade during dry conditions. It will do around 7 lawns with the high lift blades in wet conditions or cleaning leaves. Thanks for watching.

Haven't watched the video yet, but how many hours run time for the mower? Over 1hr 30 mins?

Which would you consider to be the better mower between Kress and Toro?
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess Жыл бұрын
That’s tough to say. They are both very good mowers, but definitely have strengths in different areas. So I think it will be a personal preference for different people depending on what you put priority on. I will have a long term review video on the Kress mower coming in the next few weeks. You can then watch both and compare for yourself. Thanks for watching.

Wow, that’s impressive to mow 10 yards on the first batteries How hot does it get where you’re at? I’m in North Dallas it’s been 105 with the heat index of 112. Just wondering how the batteries would stand with the heat
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess Жыл бұрын
The hottest it will normally get here is 95 ish. Apparently KRESS has been working on this proprietary battery tech for 10 years and thermal management is a big key their success. The batteries apparently do not overheat and is why they can recharge in as little as 8 minutes and they have a 6 year warranty on batteries for commercial use. They are rated for 3000 charge cycles vs the average 300 and 1 year warranty of competitors. Thanks for watching.

How heavy is the weed eater
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess7 ай бұрын
It is heavy. That is the only downside. The trimmer is 10lbs on it own plus the battery is 8lb. So like 18lb total. They do have new nano batteries that are half the size now to help with weight. They also have a backpack harness you can use to wear the battery on your back instead of on the trimmer itself. It’s great for large properties where you do a ton of trimming. For small properties I just put the battery on the trimmer. You start to get use to it over time. Still heavy though but I can use it all day on my properties. Thanks for watching.

Kress 21 vs Exmark 21?
@LawnCareBusinessSuccess Жыл бұрын
I knew someone would eventually ask me this. 😂 Honestly it’s too early for me to say. I’ve only had them both during the dry summer. The big test will be in the spring next year with the heavy wet growth we get here in the Pacific Northwest. I will say they are two different beasts. The ultimate mower would be a combination of the two. There are things I like better about each of them. For example something as simple as the self propel transmissions. The Kress uses an electric motor to propel the unit forward. It’s great because you can use the self propel without the mower blades on to push the mower up a hill or over gravel etc. On the other hand being electric means that the speed control it something you set with a lever before you start like a walkbehind mower. The self propel handle turns it on or off no feathering. The Exmark uses the same belt driven transmission as the gas model. So it’s a proven commercial transmission but being belt driven has its advantages and disadvantages. It means the motor has to be spinning the blades for the belt to driven. So no self propel only over gravel etc. but on the other hand being belt driven means when you pull the handle their is a belt tensioner that allows you to control the speed by how ouch you pull the handle. This allows you to feather the transmission and speed up and slow down on the fly. I alternate between using them each day. Lots of differences like that between the two. Both great mowers so far and I think a lot will come down to what the individual user prefers. Thanks for watching.

No freaking way, green works weed eater only lasts 21 mins and is so heavy wished I knew this brand before purchasing 5000 on greenworks equipment. After 3 days batteries don’t charge or they charge whenever they want to

The Kress batteries have been nothing short of amazing in my experience. Last a long time, charge really fast, water proof in the rain, it’s seriously next level. I don’t think any other brand of batteries is as advanced. Kress has been developing these batteries with the university of Waterloo for the past 10 years to come up with a proprietary battery chemistry that allows the fast charge cycles, long run time, no overheating issues and extended warranty period. Thanks for watching.
