Hey Greg I have a question. I have 2 mississippi map turtles and I'm still trying to figure out what sex they are. My oldest one I took off a friend's hand because she didn't want it anymore. I'm thinking he/she is about 5 years old and my littlest one I got when he was just a hatchling. Now he's 11 months old now. They said he's male but I can't tell the difference.

Cb babies are around. I have a sub adult that my wife brought home from another Albino turtle breeder kinda as a gift near 3 years ago as she thought it was cute. We only have 3 normal colored turtles in our large turtle collection all because of the strict laws here. I know people here break the laws but with doing education shows like Greg but in person more here, I refuse to have illegal reptiles of any type as I get inspected twice a year by fish and game. But anyways, there is two breeders I know working with this species here in Florida and one of the two is right across the bridge from me that I see every two weeks on average, but sometimes every week that I can ask. He is like me and includes USA fishing and game documents confirming both c.b. and hatch date like I do with my albino and snow hatchlings. If you want one or a pair and serious, I could probably get one or two for you as early as next weekend (Friday) but we would need to verify the laws in your state or at least I would as I am not sure about the laws in a wide range of various states other than here. I do know some but not many of states laws in other states but not enough. But both his turtles and mine get inspected all the time and cleared by the USA fish and game so if they are legal for a c.b baby or cb juvi, we could work with you to get a legal one at no further cost to you. Overnight Shipping would be more than the price of a single turtle though. What is the laws in your state and what state is it? Based on your screen name, if you are in Mexico, it would not be worth it though. You would need to buy from within. International c.i.t.i.e.s permits are high also.

@@supportyourtroopsathletes6460 That would be awesome of you! I am extremely interested in a pair of either Loggerhead or Striped Neck. I am in the US, Utah to be exact. The username is a play on a copper mine and canyon I live nearby. As far as I know, we have no laws currently which would restrict them here. I would imagine overnight shipping is around $50-65 to here from Florida, but I would happily pay it knowing I was getting a legally obtained/bred turtle! I am in total agreement with you, I will never own an illegally obtained animal. Greg can vouch for me on that. I have consulted with him several times in the last few years and passed on animals because of questions surrounding the seller.

Since we're talking about musks I wanted to pick your brain about something. I have some musk turtles and mud turtles and I'm big on producing my own food like super worms and Phoenix worms. I was wondering what you thought about breeding ramshorn snails and feeding them off as well as maybe ghost shrimp.

my chinese box turtle pooped liquidly poop when i pick her up, the poop is little purple. can it just because she got scared or the diet is wrong? i don't think its parasite because i treat my turtle with fenbendazole every half year.

Hey Greg. I recently have been going through some tough times and I have found myself unable to properly take care of my turtles. I know this is a long shot, but before I go to anyone wanting to adopt I figured I’d ask you if you would be able/willing to take in these turtles under your care. 1 turtle is a yellow belly slider and 2 are Mississippi maps.

Greg as you realize, I been setting up my hatching albino and snow red ear slider tank with guppies which only 1 out of 17 babies even my older ones, will not even bother going after guppies and that is only periodically. Lately it has not bothered but it's nothing new considering the diet that seems to work with over years of research however do you remember the tiny round black to brown aquatic snails that came off the aquatic plants here? I do not know the name of these for the life of me and I want some to offer these periodically as a snack only as I know they should not be a primary source. All I am seeing online is the little spiral cone shape shelled snails now. It used to be that I could get the small round black brown ones at the petshop but I don't see them now. Do you know what these little round ones are called or a link that I could buy online? If not, would you be willing to catch and sell me a couple hundred of them on mixed sizes? I just do know much on this spiral shell snail at all and I am edgy of throwing aquatic fish in their tank because of toxin levels and I do not know if I need to worry about the other type of snail either. I know the little round black and brown ones are fine though. Can you please guide me to a safe feeder snail name. I will buy a couple hundred from you if you are interested being kinda your "sponcer" as a steady customer. I could use all sized snails from babies to adult. Live crayfish as well from a clean water source. What I can do is send you everything you need to ship them in strong fish bags heat/cool pack if needed in a insulated shipping box, styrofoam peanuts, shipping containers if preferred and pre paid shipping labels so no money from you out of pocket and I will buy the small round snails and crayfish of any size only if you want too. Please let me know.

I wish I knew the snail species better. I know “mystery snails” were a popular one to buy at aquarium stores
@supportyourtroopsathletes64604 жыл бұрын
@@GregsTurtleHaven ... Now are the "mystery snails" safe from toxins do you know? If not, can I buy a couple hundred from you that you catch. I know you can grab nearly any aquatic plants and find 15 to 30 off each one. Heck I would not mind buying some of the plants you have there also. I just know the water sources there are way more cleaner is all.
