No wonder why the ballistic/power fists are some of the most OP (and coolest) weapons of this game. In my Legion walk-through I chose an unarmed based build for the "evil" Courier and became an almost unstoppable killer machine once I got powerful enough power fists lol

That was great stuff. I loved in the initial one those last two Supermutants seemed to last a while. Also the Trader from Arizona actually got a kill in at least two of the runs lol. One idea that has been popping in my head is How many Legion Assassins (or Legion Hit Teams) to kill someone like President Kimball, especially with his escort of NCR Rangers and the like. Whether it can be done at the Dam event or just as a custom encounter I dunno, but I think it could be a neat scenario.

@@Scythx420 Ah, I thought something was off when I saw how many had energy weapons, which I seem to recall was unusual for New Vegas super mutants. Those super mutants would be more likely to have miniguns and light machine guns.

Nightkins are pretty trash considering they're mostly melee only with no DT. Honestly all the super mutants in FNV are weak

The basic super mutants always had hunting rifles or nail boards, and I think the brutes had assault rifles, minguns, and sledgehammers, the masters had Chinese assault rifles pretty much all the time, and the overlords were the only place I remember in the game to get the tri beam laser rifle (they also would carry super sledges I think too), no where in their lists should there have been a standard laser rifle unless I played the entirety of fallout 3 never encountering them, though it has been years since I've played 3 so maybe I'm just forgetful. Edit: to reinforce this claim I searched the wiki and none of them spawns with basic laser rifles, although the masters did have miniguns too along with the brutes and the overlords can spawn with Gatling lasers which I had apparently forgotten about.

Caesar doesn't want his men using energy weapons, because it would make the Legion too dependant on technology. But he has no trouble picking up a gatling laser himself in a fight. Hypocrite.

I mean he literally uses a fucking energy fist himself, and his royal guard uses shotgun fists. Nothing more hypocritical than that. That's why I have never sided with the Legion each playthrough, seems like their whole society is a contradiction of itself.

No, if you progress through the energy shop quest, you will find out that the Legion is ordering energy weapons. It's easy to misunderstand, but the Legion simply doesn't recommend energy weapons because they're in short supply.

I really like this because for me it shows off just how powerful super mutants are. Along with that its also showing just how powerful and terrifying the masters army was. Supposedly those mutants were of an even higher quality than the ones here.

I guess that's what their creator was hoping for, especially seeing the Supermutants in one of the vaults they've cleared out (if this was a vault). But by the time of FNV he's a memory (no idea about F3)

@@user-xyuser1488 AFAIK the Super Mutants of F3 have nothing to do with The Master (the "father" of the West Coast Super Mutants and main villain of Fallout 1 that is remembered sometimes in NV). In fact, I think it is mentioned in some lore documents and audios of F3 that the Super Mutants of Capital Wasteland were created with a different strain of the FEV (Forced Evolutionary Virus) as a result of Vault-Tec experiments conducted in that vault where we find Fawkes.

Nope. Have you played 3 recently? Super Mutants quite commonly carry specifically laser weapons. It fits too because there are laser weapon tiers and tiers of super Mutant.
