This was immensely satisfying for me as a person who has just about the same number of owned unread books hiding in around my house. At least yours are on your shelves!

I love seeing all the books that people own but haven't read. It makes me feel less alone lol. Im trying to prioritize my owned unread books this year. I'm going to listen to the audiobook version on Libby/Overdrive when I can, to still support my library. I wish you the best of luck with reading your owned books ☺️

Thanks for helping me not feel like such a hoarder, lol! I finish more books from the library than my own collection as well. You could do the challenge of watching your haul videos and going through to make a TBR pile and vlog it. 😄

Honestly this video has made me feel better about how many of my books are unread. I keep seeing people who have like 10-20 unread books and as much as I want to be that kind of person, I know I'll never get to that point, book shopping brings me too much joy at this point in my life. :') I think my number right now is just under 400 but I've been actively trying to read them/get rid of the ones I don't think I'll ever actually read for the last couple of years. For what you have, I'm reading The Nightingale right now and am really enjoying it. It is difficult to read though. Kristin Hannah really dug deep into the experience of living in a Nazi occupied country and some of the experiences that are in the first 150 pages have been kind of terrifying. I'm buddy reading it with my mom and both of us have found scenes that we hated reading or that actually scared us. I thought I knew a lot about the Holocaust but that book has shown me a side of it that I had no idea about.

I suddenly feel like 35-40 is really good and im reading them too most of last years books were from my unread books box and my unread manga lot i think i only bought three brand new and i read them too but its easier when you have to live within a budget but ive really loved what ive read so you could be holding off on your forever favourites

Years ago I made a decision to only put books I've read on my shelves. The unread books sit atop a medium-sized table. The TBR pile grows and grows until I'm forced to do one of 2 things: go through and unhaul what i don't think I'll get to, or read some and put them away on a shelf. Helps with tbr, and keeps shelves full of "read" books only.

I LOVE that idea for a challenge! I’m totally the same I went a big book buying splurge and I just find loads of amazing can’t pass up deals! Lol I had an idea to do a “read a shelf” challenge have like 1 month to read as much as I can from one shelf. I also have some that I know I want to get rid of after reading. Knowing my tastes better I just won’t reread certain things I had the same idea to focus on those so I can go on and I haul them. I was moving in December and kind of spent the last few months doing that it was soo good! Last Vlog and moving I haul video I talk about that a bit.

Last year I've made a full 'inventory' of my books and I've put them all into excel... (Author, title, cover type, language, publisher, year published, status - read/unread/read before ect, and additional info like autographs, sprayed edges ect...) It took me a while, but it was worth it :D Now I know that I own 417 books and 99 of them is still UNREAD... so it motivates me more to pick my own books to made that list shorter!) :D

I read Kings of the Wyld recently and loved it so much. And Like a Love Story is one of my favorite books. I have The City We Became, too, and I've been wanting to get to it very soon. I think that's the only one you held up that I also have on my unread shelf, but I have read and loved many of the books you've shown in this video.

You can read Tempest and Slaughter as a stand alone if you're familiar with the Kingdom of Tortall. It's a prequel to The Immortals series by Tamora Pierce. Highly recommend the Full Cast Audio production of these. Includes author interviews and cameos.

That is an impressive total 📚📚 There are a lot of amazing reads in there. I was surprised by the number of Palahniuk books. Haunted & Lullaby are two of my favorites. I applaud your TBR ! I just counted my unread books, {drum roll} ... 196 !! ( I found a 2nd copy of Dead Astronauts buried in there 😂 ) Clearly, I need to step up my TBR game . ps: don't look at my Kindle, where another 74 titles are hiding.
