Hey Sebby! I think having this type of video is a great compliment to your other videos. In general, the way you break down and discuss a topic regardless of the subject matter (credit cards, offers, lounges, travel) is beyond excellent and very entertaining to watch. So I wouldn’t worry about the actual topic as much! All vids are good vids from your channel!

Keep these videos coming. Most of us are in two camps. We maximize credit cards for cash back or points/miles. Those of us in the latter do it to travel. More travel videos, please and thank you.

I really love snorkeling. That love for snorkeling got me to get scuba diving certified last year. And I highly recommend that you do that if you aren’t yet. It’s like snorkeling but 100 times better. And I plan to go dive in Bora Bora and Maldives in the next couple years. Btw I love these kind of videos. Makes it easier for me to plan my travels using points for yolo trips. Thanks!

Sebby, at 2:44 you start saying that you didn't want to use Chase points for the flight because you feel that you would get a better return using the points for Hyatt. Can you explain this a bit more, are you saying that Chase points are better used for hotel stays?

I walk through a economy example here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/o6HVo6msZ6amncU For luxury options, PH Vendome runs is 30k points and runs $750 to $2,000 per night. CSR at 1.5x yields $450 in value. YMMV depending on your SO and/or your view of YOLO properties.

I, too, sweat a lot. I overheat. I like travelling in October-November to Europe where it's nice and cool lol. PS: Travel stuff is cool. I wouldn't even mind a vid on how you guys pack. Check bags? All in one carry-on? I travel with a carry-on that fits in the overhead and a camera bag that fits under the seat. For weeks in Europe. I'm pretty skilled at using foreign laundromats lol

Hi, I've watched a lot of your videos, and they are super helpful in understanding how credit card points work but I'm a little confused as to where to start and which cards to use for what. Can you do a beginner series that does 3-4 cards that can be used to get maximum benefits for daily expenditure (things like dining, grocery, fuel), travel (so airline rewards and hotels or a card that allows gives good rewards for both). Also it would be helpful if these options could also apply to Canadians. Thank you.

We are traveling to Bora Bora soon for our 20 wedding anniversary and this video is very helpful. Keep it coming Sebby! I’m not sure u will have time to answer my questions but I will give it a try . Just checking the standard room now and they are charging 200k HH points per night 😥 whew that’s a lot . I saw ur video and it was only 80k that u mentioned. Did they increased and double the points 😥😫 also we are diamond members so hopefully we can get the upgrade. Did they offer it to u right away or ask for it ahead of time ??? Tnx more power

Too bad IHG changed their anniversary night from anywhere to 40k points or less value. You should edit this into description or something. I almost applied for this card for that one perk that is no longer there.

The reason I really don't like this video is that it makes you think that if you get a card like the Hilton Aspire you'll be able to use the points and the weekend certificate night. I just checked Conrad Bora Bora and had checked Hilton Moorea earlier this week since my wife and I are going in December. Neither resort has any availability to use the weekend certificate for all of December and January. On top of that Conrad Bora Bora has not availability to book with points in all of December and Moorea charged 198k. I of course realized these things after watching all the videos like this and reading TPG articles only to get burned. I'm not saying videos like this doesn't make great entertainment, and I'm not sure if bloggers like Sebby get certain special access or not, but double check if you can actually book things before getting cards or excited about points. If you don't check yourself and just watch this video you may find yourself, like me, very sorry after you've spent $450 for a credit card with benefits you can't really use.
@TheAssassinscreed915 жыл бұрын
Jake Nelson loooool well that’s your fault bud, you were probably trying to use the card short term, that’s what you get man. They give you insane benefits if 900 in 2 years and on. If you trying to swindle them by opening it up, getting the points and then downgrading immediately when you can, don’t be crying you can’t take a super luxury trip, you can book hotels easily on many locations, Miami and key west for example
