I love it when you bring LGBTQIA+ content, Yeseul. I love this channel ❤️ Bisexual, pansexual and polysexual are indeed similar. Here is what I know: Bisexuality has been around the longest, it's the oldest word but it's definition brings a lot of confusion and controversy. There is no common agreement to what the definition is. Some people say it's too binary and it excludes non-binary people, some people defend it's just the antonym of monosexual and so it means you could be attracted to two or more genders and other people defend the definition of being attracted to all genders. But since the broader definition known is "being attracted to men and woman", pansexuality was created to avoid any confusion. Being pansexual mean you can be attracted to anyone despite their sexuality, gender identity or sex assigned at birth. I like to tell people I'm pansexual to make sure it includes non-binary people, but I don't mind being called bi since in some definitions bi and pan are the same. Then polysexual is like pansexual, but instead of being attracted to ALL genders, the person is attracted to only a few (and which genders depends on each person). I know it gets confusing because of all the words and similarities between them, even I don't know all of them, but new therms appear every now and then basically so people can have a identity that is more accurate to what they feel. Also, some of them can go together, for example I identify as panxesual and demisexual. Hope I've helped. ☺️

​@@bangtanforever4275 They're not. Asexuality and aromanticism are two separate spectrums with a lot of different identities like demisexual or frayromantic. All the sexual attractions have a romantic equivalent: homosexual -> homoromantic, bisexual -> biromantic, pansexual -> panromantic, asexual -> aromantic, allosexual -> alloromantic, etc. Those identities can be paired together to make a more specific and accurate identity for a person. I tried my best to not repeat what was already said by Louffyqaro so look at their reply too. You can also do your own research online to learn more about the different identity spectrums.

I loved this, this was so fun! Some of them I didn’t even know and I’ve looked this up a bit. The main difference I’ve seen between Bi and Pan is usually bisexual people have preferred genders they’re attracted to. While pansexual people still are attracted to people’s appearances but they have no preference for gender or sexualities. For example, a Pansexual person wouldn’t care if you’re cisgender, transgender, non-binary, intersex or what your genitals look like. While some bisexual people may prefer only some.

Pansexual is all genders. Polysexual is more than one but not all. Bisexual means two. (this last one is debatable but I'll go with the most common understanding.) So, bisexual is being attracted to both the basic genders. Poly is any combo of two or more genders. Pansexual is any and all, it doesn't matter what they identify as.

To my understanding, bisexual traditionally means 'attracted to men and women' and pansexual means 'attracted to all regardless of gender'. Both can be used to essentially mean the same thing, people are attracted to any gender, but the emphasis is different. Bisexual (and polysexual I think) is being attracted to all genders but the gender matters, so the person might be attracted to masculinity and femininity, the gender aspect is part of what attracts them. For pansexual the focus is on being attracted to a person's personality first, so the physical form/gendered element plays less of a role in attraction being formed. These terms can be used to mean essentially the same thing, and some people prefer to use pansexual to be inclusive of all genders, but I believe those were the original intentions of the words. Also, I'm so happy asexual got included. I'm asexual and the term was still very new when I found out it was me 10 years ago, so I'm used to having to explain what it meant to everybody. Honestly, in the future, I hope none of these distinctions matter. I just want people to be able to go up to someone they fancy, romantically, sexually or even just think they're cool and ask "Wanna be friends?/Wanna go out?/ Wanna one night stand?/ Wanna be friends with benefits?/ Wanna be a couple/thruple etc? No more beating around the bush about what your intentions are, which means that there is no secret agenda or surprises on what the relationship is meant to be from the start (especially if it's open, closed or just a fling, no judgement, just honesty). If they turn you down, you gracefully back down and wish them a pleasant day. The sexuality doesn't matter. No need to specify, just if you're attracted in any measure, you're attracted. If not, then you're not. If also the relationship changes, you just say so and ask again if they feel the same. If not, well, that happens even when sexualities align, but feelings don't match, so it's really no different. For now, I get that there needs to be exposure and awareness because these concepts seem so foreign to people and people are weirdly hostile about something that doesn't affect them, but I really want it to not matter at all and people to not care. Just see humans as humans. If you think they're hot, sweet, cool or whatever, ya just say so. No judgement, no fuss. Rejection might still suck, but it doesn't really change. Learning to accept it and move on is also something people need to learn to do regardless of any sexuality.

I'm not even sure whether I'm an aromantic or asexual. And now I got as another term: *gray-asexual* 💫 Actually, it's really hard to define one's sexuality. Each of us is different and you've just got to appreciate that. Being different is neither a bad thing nor a good thing, it's just WHO YOU ARE. It's important to love yourself and the people who are important to you. And finally, I'm glad that we're born in this era that more people are accepting about how sexuality can exists on a vast spectrum. Compare to the days when people got bashed for their attraction to same sex, it's better these days. Yet, there are still a lot who just couldn't understand or worse, get repulsed if they see two same sex couple or a guy wearing a skirt or something. I hope in future it'll get better. People who are bisexual like males and females, ie- people who are on the gender binary. Pansexual people can like anyone, binary or non binary, it isnt about the gender of the person. Polysexual people have multiple partners in a consenting relationship. “Asexual” is a term that actually covers many different sexualities. Some people who are asexual are not attracted to anyone else, some can be attracted to others but do not want to act on their attraction, some asexuals can be attracted to someone if they make an emotional connection with them, etc. Asexual is a very large umbrella term for many things. I myself am Asexual/Pansexual, so I do not desire to be with anyone sexually or romantically but can find people of any gender expression attractive.

you asked so now i’ll answer! polyamory is the practice of/desire for romantic relationships with more than one partner at the same time, with the informed consent of all partners involved. while polysexual means that the person likes more than two genders (male and female). polysexual is (from my understanding) in between the two terms of bisexual (only liking male and female) and pansexual (liking anyone and everyone). so basically polyamory is when someone has the heart to love multiple people at the same time and polysexual means they like more than two genders but not all. i hope that helped!!!!!

Cisgender queer woman. I say queer and not lesbian because I have had romantic relationships with transmen and butches as well as cisgender women. Some butches identify as masculine/men and some identify as masculine/women. I have been in hetero relationships in the past but it's been like 30+ years since then. I think there is a huge spectrum in all directions when it comes to people and their identities and sexuality. It makes the world more interesting. xoxo

I'm demisexual and sapiosexual. I find no one attractive or unattractive. I need a deep emotional connection to be with someone (any gender). I also find emotional and intellectual intelligence attractive. Especially those who are creative and can teach me something. I enjoy sex but it is hard to find someone I want to be with.
