A smart observation. And ironically incredibly mature and clutch. Look at his stats in the last three minutes of a game. LoveMakelle!

I lately had something similar with my Jumpshot. I started playing one year ago and im still developing a good jumper, but 5 months ago I hurt my middle finger and it hurt every time the rolled over it while shooting so I had to roll it over my other fingers and now I have problems going back to my old jumper

I feel you man, I broke two fingers in my shooting hand and both of them healed slightly out of place so adapting my form felt really weird at first
@Jun-kl5jx
@Jun-kl5jx 2 жыл бұрын
yeah that happens, but usually you just have to try and adapt to a new jumpshot. for fultz however, i feel like its more of a mental thing, where hes too nervous in games and his form just gets completely off
@ethanma3916
@ethanma3916 2 жыл бұрын
@@Jun-kl5jx it's actually nerve damage in his shoulder. I don't doubt that there were mental factors but 95% of his issues stemmed from thoracic outlet syndrome, which looks like it makes him almost too weak to shoot a 3 (if you see him shoot 3s now it looks like a push shot vs his silky smooth mid range form)

This dude saying he needs a three point shot forgets that Demar before the bulls exists. Demar was a 20+ ppg player before his three pointer became at least average.
@shorewall
@shorewall 2 жыл бұрын
I think for people the big issue is that he had a 3pt shot, was drafted no. 1 based on that amongst the rest of his toolkit, and immediately couldn't shoot 3s. Maybe even before the draft.
@ChiTownOriginator
@ChiTownOriginator 2 жыл бұрын
@@shorewall exactly. Demar never had a 3 pointer and is a way better athlete. Also wasn't drafted 1 overall.
@testingmyaudioaddiction3452
@testingmyaudioaddiction3452 2 жыл бұрын
@@ChiTownOriginator I would say Demar and Fultz both have insane athleticism, and it isn’t really that far off of a comparison. Demar has also developed a three point game that helped him average 29 ppg this year.
@ethanma3916
@ethanma3916 2 жыл бұрын
@@shorewall he wasn't drafted purely for his 3 tho, it was mainly his shot creation, and he's since become an elite defender, so I don't think the 3pt shot is strictly necessary for him to become an all star anymore, looks like the nerve damage from his injury is either long term/long lasting or permanent as well so I personally am not banking on his 3pt shot coming back to being that elite. I do think he'll be an all star though

My bro probably hates the fact that I always been making tough shots, because it's for the most part the only shots I had. I've been playing with him 1on1 with no ball skills and he was doing ball for some years at that point. And after some time I only cared about creating a shot he wouldn't be able to block without thinking about the form or the contest and just been making hard floaters or fadeaways (sometimes in post) or back-to-back-to-back-to-back 3s since he sometimes gave me a chance to shoot them open (and I either hit them all or didn't make nothing)

@shorewall
@shorewall 2 жыл бұрын
How many do? I think it's enough to make it somehow in the league. Most draft picks don't even play their whole career for the team that drafted them. Fultz is a sunk cost, now its time to make some kind of career for himself.

And Markelle is still a young player in the league. Many times a developing point guard has the hardest time transitioning over from college to the league. Throw in some injuries and outside issues and something similar could happen.

I also feel like comparing his abilities to Tatum is DRASTICALLY unfair considering Tatum was easily even as a rookie the 1st option for the Celtics and allowed more freedom on what he did unlike the fact that Fultz had Joel and the worst shooter in the league Simmons to share the ball with.

One time in high school I woke up and my shoulder was in pain. I couldn’t shoot the ball and I had a game that day. I played three quarters that night and only made 1 three and a couple of free throws but it hurt. I got fouled on a three point attempt and fell on my shoulder and couldn’t play the rest of the game. However it slowly went way as the days went on. I didn’t even go to the doctors since it got better slowly. But after a week there was no pain

The frequency of rookies coming into the 76ers and coming out with shit 3 point shooting as well as inability for other rookies to get good at 3s makes me wonder if they have a shithouse shooting coach as the issue, or if it the rookie injury rate doing it? Obviously Simmonds is the easiest link but it isn;t just there, but he did shoot lots of 3s in college level with a 29.4% rating.

Sixer fans, their media and Sixer management ran Kelle out of town claiming he wasn’t injured but was a head case should be banned from commenting. The Sixers traded away Bridges even though he wanted to play at home, never fixed Simmons’ shooting problems and dumped Markelle. Imagine if Joel never recovered. Kelle’s stats last year if projected for 36 minutes would be 20 and 10.
