Formula 1 is odd in that if you are not one of the top 3 (Ferrari, Mercedes and Red Bull) the teams are pumped to be the "best of the rest". I routinely see drivers pumped about getting 6th, 7th or 9th place. I think because 1-10 get points.

It has been illegal to modify the emissions control devices on street vehicles for decades. It has been illegal to run "off road use only" labeled hard parts on street vehicles for decades. The new thing they are trying to eliminate is the ability for people to buy something out of a show room and convert it into a race/track only vehicle. That part is new and sucks. People running race parts on street cars have managed to ruin it or at least make life more difficult for the actual racers.

I swear Team Winnow is nothing more than an elaborate piss-take on the part of Marlboro, to wit: Winnow means the process by which blowing air through wheat separates the grain from the chaff.
