i've found this physicist one of the best science interpreters. he presents in a way we can easily understand what scientists do in their sophisticated labs.

I have had sleep paralysis all my life, but I experience it when I am just falling asleep. It is actually very frightening at times to be conscious and paralyzed, fighting to "break out" of it. Thankfully, this has been much less frequent as I've gotten older.

Yep can happen either way. I think it's more like 1% of the population actually experience it though and the majority never more than once. I've had it in the hundreds sometimes 4-5 times a night.

Oh Thank you for this I have had the same all my childhood until I had to Do something. One of the many nights as I was ready to go under the same paralysis I was going every night , I jumped up . I jumped towards this visual of a shadow at the end of my bed . I jumped against this "woman in black " that was inducing the paralysis as I thought. Well it worked

I’ve been watching Mr. Kaku for years. He is very likable and always gives valuable insight into the latest science in layman’s terms. One thing I can’t figure out is why there is so much optimism regarding our scientific community’s ability to cope with an asteroid hitting the planet by leaving the Earth or deflecting it, but if the sea level rises a few inches, we’re sh** outa luck.
