I used to play Pika when the game first game out but dropped him after a year ish cuz he's such a mashing character and I was annoying myself lol. Love Esam but watching his pika in neutral is pain. Marss throws out a lot of good options but moves a lot

I feel like ESAM spawned his confidence. With the hungrybox set, he was playing so safe and pretty basic, then ESAM came. No one is more comfortable playing ESAM than Marss, I feel like that’s when he got the boost in confidence, when things got more personal- keeping his win streak against ESAM and knowing his entire playstyle Like I can’t see any competitive player on Earth going for a suicide spike on a recovering Pikachu BESIDES Marss fighting Esam

I watched Marss' set with Myran live and when he switched to Joker I knew he was throwing. I think Marss might've done better with ZSS; pretty sure she's better against Olimar then Joker, but who knows. Still, amazing run from Marss, especially compared to his 33rd at Riptide
