I remember back in High School, I was so excited when the new Source Magazine came out. I couldn't wait to see which No Limit album was about to drop next. One issue of the Source in particular, No Limit had a two page spread of all the albums coming out in 1997 and beyond there was at least 25 albums on deck to be released. I remember 'P' saying on the spread "This is our Roster for "97" What's yours" ? So Epic ! At that time they had the most unique album covers as well, lots of bling & very animated but hella dope to me.. No limit gave Pen & Pixel Graphics a lot of business, as well a lot of other rappers/labels etc. Good Times ! To those who are familiar with the no limit legacy, What's your favorite No Limit Album ?

@662chillin5 жыл бұрын
@Shorty I laughed at Cash money being independent as well lol Master P got a 80/20 for his label so they technically was indy because all prioirity did was put the music in stores. Cash Money was straight up signed and distributed by Universal lol. The thing is that 400 Degreez actually fulfilled the Universal deal because it sold so many records. But Baby and nem was still robbing dudes blind to the point that everyone left them. Wayne thought he was different and got Drake, Nicki and Tyga on board and was getting them robbed too lol. Tyga actually was the smartest one and was able to leave in 2013 and has been indy since. It took Drake a few more years to leave CMR and Nicki still is owned by them lol

I already knew all the stuff talked about in this video considering I grew up on his music being an 80s baby. But I think there was a few important things left out. One of the smart ways Master P promoted his labels albums was by using the inside of the cd jacket to promote up coming albums from his label. That was a marketing tactic P came up with. After P did that all other smaller labels started doing it. Also P at his height of his music career was worth $600 million there is no rap artist till this day that has been worth that much.

I was born in the 80s so of course I know about Master P, I grew up listening to Death Row AND No Limit. I knew about all these things you were talking about and was just having a conversation on a 90s Hip Hop group on facebook about this. Who had the bigger impact on gangster rap, Death Row or No Limit. and about 99% of the comments people say Death Row, so I start making all these points that people are unaware of. So then to prove my point I go to KZbin to find DJ Paul interview and he talks about P and what all he did. So then I ran across your video and you go into detail and back up the shit that I been saying on there. Glad u made this video instead them just hearing from me and them making fun of me telling me idk what the fuck I'm taking about and not knowing anything about music... blah, blah, blah. good video bro.

Man I'm loving these videos. Tbh you're one of my favorite channels on KZbin period. The amount of work, research and dedication you put into these videos, you deserve WAYYY more subs and views than you get.... Just keep hustlin bro. Keep pushing out more videos, but quality over quantity. Keep spreading your videos, give people incentives to share your videos to help spread across a wider demographic.... Sometimes you gotta spend money to make money. So if you're making decent money from KZbin, reinvest, do giveaways, it'll help spread your content and more people will be incentivized to watch, like, subscribe and sharw your content across many forms of social media. Try to utilize all forms of social media. IG, snapchat, facebook, twitter, etc. I know its hard with like IG cuz videos are inly 1 minute, but try to shorten up a little overview and previews for upcoming videos. Get people looking forward to content, advertise giveaways and such, even if its little things, people love free shit. And if you can hook them with a giveaway for things related to your content, it just.might make them give your videos a chance, and im sure they'll be hooked from there. Judt giving advice because you have a lot of potential, and your passion for.the culture really makes me.happy and I want to see ppl like you win fam ✊ God bless, best of luck homie

He's one of my favorite rappers, despite not knowing barely of his music, but more because of his hustle mentality, learned about him from other rappers who mention and talk about him in interviews.

He is going on assumptions and friendly autobiographical egotistical non sense their own people propmeted. But I appreciate his enthusiasm lol easy e did a lot first and a lot of people copied him point for point. And easy e actually had the talent too

i was born in the 80's and at that time, master p was one of the biggest artist in the rap business, because he was a real sharp person when it came to business and he was always a person that spread the wealth around. i sure nobody could say he kept a bigger cut for himself. just look at what he was doing at that time, he changed the whole structure of the label/artist relationship because he knew what he was about, what he deserved and how he was going to get it. intellect in the highest degree, that's why he would always be "master p"

@8:51 not too long ago saw an Uber guy's video on how he says 'that' company is or were low-key taking some monies he earned, too; if he didn't call and repeatedly email them, they would have gotten away with it. They bank on most drivers not even catching those oversight cents. why do multi-millionaires aim to rob ppl.? They already got plenty of $$ so why act like *that*??
