I used to check with my mom a lot. My husband and I lived across the country from her after getting married. I went with him and I would call her too much. -But me and my mom were never even close to begin with. Growing up, I was made felt like I wasn't good enough. I loved school, but she wasn't involved, and then I was made to work at 16 and couldn't focus on school. I was never spoken to as a person, just lectured and had about 10 chores a day. So, I must've been always looking for approval or something. After moving back to state where my mom and family are, I started clashing again with her and have kids now and realizing I need to put my foot down and distance myself a bit and not accept this. That's helped in my relationship with my husband.

The attachment to family is something I am learning with my boyfriend. Well kind of. My family pretty much had access to every part of me growing up. It wasn’t until college that that started to change. But when I go home the same things are expected of me as when I was a child. So with my boyfriend my parents and grandparents expect me to answer every question about him and in detail. I have learned not to share too much and to allow my boyfriend to speak for himself. ❤

Thanks for this! Could we get a video on how to gracefully reject a man? or what to do when we're attracting men who aren't our type? I've attracted old men (old enough to be my grandfathers), men in their 40s, and yes some who are closer in age to me, but not at all my type. and I'm in my early 20s. I'm uncomfortable with most male attention because unfortunately my experiences growing up weren't ideal in this area. I'm asking because, as much as I want to follow these steps and find my king (or, be found by my king), the last thing I want to attract EVEN MORE attention from the miscellaneous men (respectfully). obviously its impossible to ONLY attract my king, but I'm just so wary of the attention I already get that it dissuades me from trying to grow further into feminine womanhood... which is what I want to do. I want to be whole, healthy, feminine, receptive... I've just used those traits on the wrong people when really, I wanted to say "I'm not interested" but didn't know how. Now I'm so skittish, I repel a man I actually like, who is actually a gentleman I hope this makes sense 🥲
@themalawiandiner1806 ай бұрын
40s is not good old enough to be your grandfather lol. But I do agree that there way older for you. Perhaps take some time to evaluate "the type" traits that you are looking for, is everything on it neccessary or is it too much? (Not saying yours is too much), but sometimes some people expect too much or are overly critical of potential suitors, that they overlook perfectly good men.

I am literally all these things with the right man. With the wrong man, more of my masculine energy was present. You can also be all these things with the right man and not be ready yourself as a woman. This happened to me with my first boyfriend, I was the one who was not ready, especially after my dad passed away and my bf needed to mature a little, but other than that it would of ended in Marriage. My second relationship i was love bombed and this is where my masculine energy was present. But currently in a new relationship now, and as mentioned with the right man, and now that I am ready, these are all the things present. He sees it too. Its very early in the relationship, but I made it known I am dating with the intentions of long term partnership. I want the marriage, the home and children all god willing. Also prayed to God many times if this new man is not for me please remove him, but he is still here. 🙏🏽 Just remember, Love is patient, Love is kind ❤

I’m currently working on femininity even through conflict and also having a positive attitude/submission throughout every aspect in my life. For example, like when at work how often am I aggravated when asked to do some I might not want to do, or even in my personal relationships with family and friends. So they did not put a lot of value onto physical attraction. And they also lead a lot. Their husbands somehow seem to be okay with. Are these man still high value?
