Am from UK use to watch his films back in 80s on BBC2 Saturday morning and i learn interesting fact from him when he was on Through the key hole tv show UK version, the panal were confused about all the Micky mouse memorabilia he had. His mum was a cleaner at animation studio that Walt Disney was working on steam boat wille, and walt start talking to him cause his mum as you could back in the day take children to work, put him on his lap in his own words Mr Rouke he showed him amination and called him and Mortimer mouse which he was going to be knowing as. Then asked Mr Rouke what his name was and he told him Micky Rouke to which Mr Walt said Micky mouse, Mortimer mouse back and forth and decided then from that day Micky mouse. Strange as it be but Mortimer mouse does not have the same ring tone ( get the drift ) as Micky i dont think it would've been as successful as if Micky and Walt had not had that run in. By the way he won through the key hole cause Micky mouse memorabilia.

Mickey Rooney was a larger than life personality but it was rather phoney . He kept an ego which turned a lot of people off . He bragged a lot . and that gets old . Mickey talked too much . No woman could put up with that day in & day out . In the late 30's and early 40's he was one of the biggest movie stars ever . That kind of stardom does not last forever . Mickey Rooney did have his day , but never seemed to realize when it was over. It is really very sad .
