So we completed one month of our KZbin channel today and to show our gratitude to our viewers, we have come up with one of the most requested topics, HOW WE #BOUGHTMULTIPLES HOUSES IN The #NETHERLANDS.
In this video, we share our story, of how we managed to buy multiple houses in Europe with zero starting money. We share our journey about how it went, various technical points, and what it all it took for us to come this far. We would like to share the story with other Indians of how to create wealth abroad with little or no initial investment
What strategies we used, what challenges we faced, and what mistakes we did could be useful to you when you are on your journey of Homebuying in the NETHERLANDS.
Our both houses are with own land and are in Amstelveen, next to Amsterdam.
Love,
Nidhi and Daven

It is good that you guys brought this discussion/idea out on the KZbin and opened a channel where you can advise our Indians to buy housing properties. Now,does your rent income on 1st house compensate the cost of financing the 2nd houseI ? including the expenses you incur to rent out the property, property taxes on 1st house, notary charges of the second house ,taxes and brokerage if any for the 2nd house.I mean, for example ,if I had to buy a bigger(2nd) house I would had simply sold my older house and live in the new house almost mortgage free or lesser mortgage and with 'new' furniture and lavish interior. And with the rest of the money saved with my regular monthly/periodic income I would had invested in personal pension or may have worked less and have less stressful life. Further, what would you do with this accumulated wealth at the end of your retirement life in The Netherlands. I hear that excess wealth in the Netherlands is taxed,. Or, if you both would be going back to India then what would be your strategy with this accumulated wealth ?

Hi Focus box media, thanks for writing in a detailed comment. First of all to be clear, the channel is not for only property discussion and we are not advising anyone to buy or not to buy properties. We neither have intent or authority to do that. We regularly face this question and simply shared our journey. Like everything else in life, there are many ways of dealing with a situation and this is how we dealt with it. We currently have no plans to leave NL and don’t count that as a scenario so we prefer steady passive income.

@@namasteamsterdam6958 I found your post in Indians in Netherlands FB group, there your text suggesting as you are helping or advising people to buy house by sharing your journey. But any if its not the case then I have miss understood your post on FB. My question in summary was, does your rent on 1st house take care of the expenses and mortgage repayment of the first and the second house in the present time. Thanks

Hi, No worries...Social media is all complex and easy to misunderstand. The simple answer to your question is NO but I find that to be an unfair expectation as well. I think one needs to analyse individually about various components here as per own situations to the right calculation and decision making like what part of each mortgage is real expense (principal vs Interest). What is your strategy/economical view short term, long term. How do you place buying house in your overall investment strategy. The list is long but I think you get the idea. For us, we focused on impact to our real monthly expenditure and cashflow sustainability. Happy to have a call for longer discussion if that helps!

Hi, have three questions: 1. On average what is the interest rate on mortgages? 2. What's the yearly/CAGR appreciation on properties in the last 5 years? 3. whats the income eligibility for a mortgage loan?
@namasteamsterdam6958
@namasteamsterdam6958 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ashish, thanks for watching the video and subscribing to the channel. we will share interest rates in one of the upcoming videos along with our winning strategies. Income eligibility is directly related to the value of the property you want to buy. Best is to approach a mortgage advisor, they do it for free. If you need references, let me know on the LinkedIn message. CAGR question is too personal detail and we don’t feel comfortable sharing on the public platform. Hope you understand. Good luck with your home buying journey!

EMIs depend on a lot of things, mortgage amount, interest rate etc so does not make sense to use that info from someone else. Think you need to calculate for yourself based on your conditions. There are a lot of online tools available for this. Good luck ‘

@@tayyabzeeshankiani3394 because US is huge and population is diverse. Compare with specific pockets in US specially where Indians live or there are lots of companies - people are lot more happy, earn more and have a better quality of life. Also no racism in US. Dutch might be happy in NL but Indians are mostly unwelcomes, looked down upon, differentiated based on language they speak and color of their skin. Dutch are so full of themselves. Americans are a lot more friendly. Also salaries are better in India nowadays. Europe to India se bhi peeche hai. High tax you are left with anything. Go check some facts and then talk. Most Indians in NL do sub standard jobs of testing etc as Ducth dont want to do them. Indians in US have risen to become CEOs because USA values intelligence and hardwork while NL looks at color of your skin, language you speak etc - they keep Indian at lower level jobs and never let them rise. Most Indians live are subservient to the locals living there.

What about your parents? Left them alone in India in miserable condition? Did you ever ask them how they feel about you not taking care of them in this old age? What about feeling lonely and not having any relatives brother sister around ? (Friends are only formality here). What about culture which is non existant? May be show both sides of living abroad and make a video on these topics as well.

Hi Govinda, our parents are extremely proud of our achievements. They are not alone or miserable in India as we both have more siblings. They keep visiting us regularly as well and in fact have build their own social circle in Netherlands. But you indeed have a valid point, this could be true for some people. Our intent is not to promote idea of moving to overseas rather to help existing Indian community here (the one which has already taken the decision to be here) with our best experiences. We are open to cover any topics that can be relevant to the community. If you want we can talk separately and May be do a video together on your concerns? Happy to help!
@govindachawlaom

My first point is true for many people here who come from India (I personally met many of them). I appreciate your progress and congratulations for that. Also glad to hear that you have strong family background which is a support mechanism that not everyone has. My only concern is that, when middle class people back in India see these videos they only see one side and are willing to leave everything behind to copy such succcess.

I think we all make choices in all life based on our situations on all our life matters. Every side of life has two coins. The video does not say that you can do this only in Netherlands or outside india. It’s a concept that worked for us and can be applied anywhere in the world. Your concerns are legit and I said earlier more than happy to raise your points in a separate video. I have sent you a friend request on Facebook. Feel free to accept and we can coordinate further. Happy to see you sharing common interests of helping the community!

Hi govinda, i appreciate your concern toward them , but but but they also come to big cities, towns to leave their parentes behind to brighten up the future of their kids and for standard of living. you surname is chawla so i am assuming you are a punjabi right and you know how big is for specially for punjabi family that their kids are doing good in abroad making money and property. So its a cycle our parentes leave their family for us and we leave them for our childrens. Your point is correct but majorly parentes are happy and often visit to us.Ofcourse we all have siblings who lives in india and visit often and plus one in a year we visit them and they came to us.
Happy 4th of July 😂
