Any uploads on helping parents deal with sons or daughters joining the military. It's just as hard for parents knowing that that child would be absent for a time.

how do the deployed parents understand or handle the emotions of their child when they are back? Do you have any resources?

my dad just.. prepared us beforehand i guess. he knew we were going to be upset, but after his first deployment he sorta taught us how to choose our emotions so that we could just.. switch it off. Does that make any sense?
