What If I never drove those heavier type of vehicles in the Military? The highest license I held while in the military was a 1.5 ton license. Do you believe I have a chance of getting this form signed
@GordonChandler12 ай бұрын
Find the form for your state, and give it a try. You won't know till you bring it in for someone to sign.

Do I need specific vehicle nomenclature on my license or is just FMTV with the different trailers fine?
@GordonChandler12 жыл бұрын
I didn't have anything specific. Make sure you have a trailer on there. I know you need that.

Does the skills test waiver waive the pre trip inspection as well? I’m currently a class A permit holder as well.
@GordonChandler1 Жыл бұрын
Yes, the waiver form includes everything. Pre trip inspection and the road test. Just need to find the form online for your state and make sure you fit the criteria.

What if you're driving m1120 A4 and A2 and m1120 9 15 I'm national guard and I'm currently at A.I.T. training with a mos of a 88m and want to have my cell or the process set up for when I leave
@GordonChandler12 ай бұрын
If you are an 88M, I don't doubt that this form will work for you! It's still la little early if you're only at AIT but give it a try.
@NoCommie Жыл бұрын
You got class A from driving a HMMVE? I drove JLTV's and the GVWR is 22,000lbs just under 26,000. Would that mean I only qualify for class C? I want Class A but I don't want to pay thousands of dollars for school.
@GordonChandler1 Жыл бұрын
I did. I had a bunch of extra stuff on my license as well. Drove a lot of LMTVs as well. So that in conjunction with a pintle hitch qualified me for a class A. It really all depends on your state you live in. Are you still active or reserves? You need to submit paperwork within a year after your ETS.
@NoCommie Жыл бұрын
@@GordonChandler1 It might be from the LMTV's that you got a Class A. I'll talk to Motor T about it. I'm still active but only got about 100 days left on my contract.

Just get a copy of the waiver form online, fill it out, get it signed, and take it to the DMV and try to get it. See what they say. No harm in trying.

How do I get a copy of the form for my state? (National Gaurd)
@GordonChandler12 жыл бұрын
What state are you in? What I did was just Google the state your in followed by military CDL waiver. Or something in the realm of that and see what pops up. I haven't seen a state yet that doesn't offer it.
@Godloves1994 Жыл бұрын
Does driving Tank count towards CDL experience?
@GordonChandler1 Жыл бұрын
I would believe it does. The biggest thing you need to see on your military license is if you have a trailer on there. It doesn't hurt to fill out the paperwork get it signed and try it regardless.

How do you get it singed if you already separated from the military?
@GordonChandler12 жыл бұрын
If you are not more than 12 months out of service you are still good. I would just try to get a hold of someone in your old chain of command. You would be surprised the people that will help you out. Make sure you have all the paperwork prefilled out and all the supporting documentation along with it. Squared away still as a civilian.

Good luck. All I need is a Class-B, like the easiest one. I submitted mine to my old shop. (almost) My entire shop back in Guam has changed. I haven't heard a single familiar name of anyone I knew while I was there. There were a couple people who had maybe a month overlap, but that's it. 2F0X1 for 10 years. I feel like I'm wishing on winning the lottery, lol.

Nope, not at all! The only test you have to take is the one for your permit.

The form when I got it signed, my training NCO did it. Then you bring it to your DMV all signed.

Yes I got my class A CDL from that paperwork. I needed to show proof at that DMV of my military driving record after I got the paperwork signed off on.

@@jonnieruiz6549 Most combat oriented jobs you drive or atleast have you military license. There are 100s of jobs, just gotta pick one you want go do for a couple years. The Army National Guard also offers a actually Lineman MOS I believe. Your local recruiter could help you a lot more than I can over the internet on jobs.
