The reality is the MK community doesn't start as much of an outrage to these things because most of the community is.....scrubby....scrubs that never had a chance against good players that know tech actually have a fighting chance. So yeah until we get a whole new MK in a couple years the real MK players just have to deal with it or not play. Im extremely close to deciding not to play because i don't understand the point in trying to be competitive in the game.

In my opinion Rain and fujin are the only interesting chars but my main problem is I can‘t adjust my playstyle when I play against bad players. It‘s so frustrating to lose against a sub that‘s only doing J2 D2 or a Kung Lao that‘s in the air for 90% of the match. When I get matched against stronger players the game is fun and intense but I don‘t know what to do when I play against a fucking idiot who bought the game the day before and never heard anything about framedata. I‘m still playing but i dislike the game more and more.

All things considered. I grew up playing fighting games offline. I prefer it. ONline is such a coin toss. Sometimes I don't know if I lost because I played badly or because the connection messed up my reactions. Constantly changing internet literally changes frame data. And balancing a game around Netcode is really hard. It varies a lot. Regardless, at least MK 1 is looking good. THey cleaned up a lot of the bs.

I LOVE using Fujin but after a year of using him he still just can't keep up with some other characters. It's infuriating that I have split second reaction times for Fujin yet I can't win half the time because he isn't unfairly advantaged.

The cancels are hard to react to, rollouts are scrubby af, "combo-breaking" doesn't set characters back to neutral, over-head/lows are broken, 50/50s WITHIN COMBOS ARE TOO FAST TO REACT TO, the arenas are the WIDEST ever to help scrubs to play far-screen, etc.

The fact Breakaway is barely functional at all since it can only be used if you got knocked up to the air+how there is no chance to counter the opponents that can restances you which makes you unable to escape from it alone tells how flawed the game is from the get go

Bro im the guy who is playing this game for a long time from mk3 i love the characters design before the gameplay when mk11 release i was super exited about erron black and shaokahn when i tried shaokahn it was super disappointed moment for me so I decided to stick with erron all time when they nerf erron i still ok with him until they nerf him again and get killed the nerf the 21 recovering time witch is the only tool after the first nerf Then they released the aftermath balance changes and i was really exited about shaos buff until i found stupid nerf at the sametime 3 4 it has flowless gap before but you have to spend 2 bars to punishing that move ... now you can flowless block 3 4 and punish it with meterless so they killed the only good tool for shaokahn in close range at the end i just leave mk11 until i hear good news about it cuz they promisng us from a long time about good things about this game ... as you said the tournaments in mk11 is not fun to watch cuz if you count the characters inside the tournament you will see everybody playing the top 5 characters so you just watch the same bullshit every match this game doesn’t have a lot of options inside the characters and the characters themselves so I decided to get back to mkx until they balance the game .... peace bro ✌🏻

I agree that the game should be based around neutral, more than it is now. I don't understand why anyone would want a game to be based around mixups. Especially at the tournament level. To win or lose a tournament by coin toss would make the game a joke. And then you put things like fatal blow on top of that... No. I think the game would be more loved and respected if it went more in the direction of basing wins on strategy and reading your opponent.

I try so hard to have fun with this game using Fujin but I really get angry sometimes when I see the same characters and the same combos being used by everyone to screw me over. I have a lot of fun using Fujin but this game makes me feel stupid for using him. Am I dumb for expecting a fair game?

This is how i feel about smash ultimate. Have yall played against a decent roy? He fights like his melee counterpart with no type of landing lag whereas other characters will get punished immediately if they miss an aerial attack that dont land. Mk11 is the same. I played against cetrion, and no matter what i did, she had an answer for. Btw i played with subzero. (150/70) online and couldn't do anything. She didn't even move!!! Smh

Scrubby things that work online most of the time because of delay or connection issues are the real MK11 issue. As a good example I could point to the random Down-2s done by scrubs.

Tell me about it. I got on this game after years, I still have my Jax muscle memory juggles, but online, my combos are sometimes impossible to finish as well as the poke spam easier to get away with. Offline, most people I lose to would get demolished since my combos would be possible and their poke game wouldn't work because I can actually retaliate from the minus frames on block from poking. MK11 has mostly bland characters that can be mastered in 10 minutes. Only a few characters require skill and practice. MK11 feels the worst when you spend most of the time labbing, then a lot of it not working due to lag. And easier characters don't worry so much about lag because they can win off of button mashing or easy juggles. I only enjoy the game for Jax. If Jax wasn't in MK, I would never have played it.

@@thenewkalpa Learn Kabal and Fujin and you'll destroy people online. Especially Fujin but it takes long time to master him and play him optimally. Other than that when you play online you'll face lots of scrubs who do all dirty stuff to win. Having patience will give you an upper advantage no matter what character you play. Jax is a good character but he can be zoned easily.

Not gonna lie, this video is several patches old. I no longer agree with what I said in it, I just don't want to take it down because I meant what I said when I said it and I'm not a fan of youtubers that hide videos they no longer agree with. Sorry you don't like MK11, but I do think that the game is far better than it gets credit for, and videos like my own only perpetuate it's bad reputation. The problem isn't the game, you gotta tighten you fundamentals. When someone runs away and spams, they're basically letting you win. So no, not MK9 or SF4. I'm talking PS2 era. Once HDMI based consoles came out, everything became all about "easy to learn hard to master, cater to casuals". So get a PS2 or original XBOX, a few games and find out how true skill games work.

If you don't play a fast character like Kung Lao or something it has a movement speed of quicksand mixed with molasses and I hate it honestly. Kabal who is supposed to be a turbo movement speed guy instead just has these slow ass chunky staggers and it just feels all kinds of wrong.

I get what you’re saying about letting character design rock, but I think that a world where Sub Zero’s Forward 2 (as an example) is unreactable wouldn’t make the game better. If anything, that would make him carry even harder and remove one of the elements in this game that separates the good players from the bad, which is the ability to deal with/punish gimmicks.

The game died quickly. Within the two year life span was bad. Meter never really wants to work only when it wants to. Plus the game is like " oh your trying to fight hand to hand? Well let's just zone you out and have it a very unfair fight."

@doom0666 Yeah, hit boxes will never be fixed because this game runs with 3d boxes in real time on a 3d plane. Most Japanese fighting games, even though they have 3d graphics are actually 2d hit boxes on a 2d plane. This adds more consistency in game. I prefer the more Chaotic approach of MK. It favors improvisation and quick thinking as opposed to rote memorization popular in Japanese fighting games.

A legless man will no more about wheelchairs than a marathon runner. So it's best to not ask the opinions of peopke who are admittedly less educated on a subject. Not saying pro players are the be all end all. Most of their ideas suck, and they're just trying to use balance patches to win. Look at Freddy in MK 9, easily top 3-5. Look at Alien Acidic and the two Predator variations in MK X. Top 5 again... Huh what a weird trend. Even in something like Soul Calibur 6 the dlc guest characters are pushed like 2B etc...

I disagree. Mortal Kombat is a fun fighting game but it lacks archetype. It's far from being the best. Killer Instinct 2013 destroys Mortal Kombat in terms of archetype, uniqueness and it's system alone with the Instinct Mode and Shadow Mechanics Virtua Fighter and Dead Or Alive has a better Strike/Throw system than Mortal Kombat and both rewards reads, outsmarting and execution more than Mortal Kombat. Mortal Kombat for a fighting game just has a good story and better content along with more things that goes on with the series compared to the other fighting games I've listed.
