growing up in the late 50's we used bicycle inner tubes to make a sort of pistol.you'd take a big chose clip cut a piece of wood in shape of pistol then tape it (the clip) to the back then take the rubber strip and stretch it over the front (barrel) part and clamp it in the close clip.point then mash the clip open and the rubber went flying.can't now tubes not made of pure rubber now.synthetic rubber has no snap to it.
