@@Jeremy_Fielding Hi Jeremy 👋, U have great knowledge, With ref to ur prev episode on 1-Phase Motors, I want to re-confirm you that (1) Capacitor Start Motors do not have Shaded poles ? (2) Like then do Ceiling fans have Capacitors then do they have Centrifugal switch ? (3) Also like in Cap Start Motors the switch dis-engages the Cap line but in Shaded Pole motors supply to Shaded Windings is not dis-engaged & they contribute to Magnetic Flux continuously ? thanks & regards Engr Ammad Asim

Thank you, Jeremy! I’ve seen many of your videos and have learned quite a few things and really enjoy them! I am a paralyzed physician/neurologist (paraplegic T11) and knew very little before watching your lessons and explanations. You have been very helpful. You might wonder why? Well, I use a power wheelchair. The best ones it seems are made in Europe. This in turn makes it extremely difficult to get them serviced. Invariably rather than making repairs I am told “this chair is too old to repair, you need to buy a new one” (>$40,000.00!). I’ve been forced into a second profession - wheelchair repairman. Thank goodness for your help! God bless!

Jeremy, just wanted to tell you that you have the gift of a great teacher/insturctor in bringing things down to their simplest level or finding another approach at making your audience understand. I've been told the same thing with my commercial aircraft co-workers. Understanding the system is the key to troubleshooting. Once you understand the way everything works, troubleshooting becomes almost logical. Thanks once again!

The patrons may have helped (enabled) you to do these videos, but you have rocked on actually doing them. In my 58 years I have never seen these mechanical concepts explained with such clarity. Casually reads a whole textbook in a weekend while I'm still struggling to get through 20-25 pages. This is eye-opening though, textbooks won't go away after college and I need to learn how to befriend them so I can teach myself these things. You make so clear on how it works. The way you speak it comes out so clear. I just came across this video by mistake. I am glad I did I learned so much. But reading and trying to get it straight in your mind is hard. I do know what you mean learning on your own. I did that with programming.I Started back in the late 80's Way before you tube. For me it is different you can see my results and if I worded it wrong it just will not work. What you do if you do something wrong you can get hurt or burn your house down. I really enjoy your video. You might be missing your calling as a teacher.

I was getting close to thinking that self teaching about magnetics/induced electricity was a bit too complicated to self teach due to the fact that there are certain areas in this subject, that are simply very difficult to find correct information on. Respect man! Now even more when I know that you are self taught. I went to college for mechatronics (it's basically mechanical and electrical engineering) and many people (as I was) would be surprised how little practical knowledge they teach you. Most knowledge from those areas I'm using now have to learn my self. You doing pretty good job explaining those things to someone with little knowledge.
