Nice work! When you inverted the slides, you must have trimmed the body. Did you also have to trim the fender flares to make it fit? Would be great to see a little more detail on that.

Sorry for leaving that part out. Yes, I trimmed the whole body a fair amount.

What I have noticed about the stock tires on my gen8 is when I got it they sucked but the more I used them the better they got , now they get way better traction on rocks and steep angles
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
Thanks! I am thinking about doing some mods to the foams and cutting the stock tires to see if I can make them better.

I generally take a tooth brush and degreaser spray to new stock tires, which strips off most of the factory compound residue.

Very nice. I may have missed it but have you altered the motor, ESC or pinion gear? It seemed to have better, slower throttle control. Thanks.
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
Yes! I actually didn't have it in a video, as it was a mistake. I ran it stock on 3S a few times....and then fried the ESC. The only thing I had laying around was a stock Axial ESC, so threw it in there. Eventually, we will throw a Hobbywing 1080 ESC in it.
@skybasherrc23723 жыл бұрын
@@RoadsideRC OK. Man she seems to crawl good. I'm still on stock motor/pinion on mine but the 1080 should be in the mail tomorrow. Pretty stoked to get that in there and try it. I appreciate your time to reply back to me. Loving your channel, a lot of great content. God Bless !!!

Have a question about the overdrive ...i wanted to make my rr10 with overgear, but also do lot of trail walking...does it harm or destroy something of your overgeared an running lot pf straight on?
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
I have a more aggressive overdrive in my TRX4, and have run EVERYWHERE without issue. It just makes the tires slip a little more. That is the only problem.

Do you think it would be worth putting the underdrive gears in also. I have a gen7 custom build with the v2 portal upgrade and I’m trying to get it class 2 ready so any help would be greatly appreciated.
@RoadsideRC3 жыл бұрын
Drive it and see how you like it. I have other trucks with more aggressive overdrive and am still happy with it. The straight overdrive here is not super-aggressive, so I feel you could get away with underdriving the rear also.
