Well done. Thanks for doing this. It would be interesting to know how long the battery lasts when lifting different loads.

I lifted a 200 gram load and the battery metrics, said it had 10 minutes of runtime instead of 20 minutes with no payload. But it got very hot during hover and it landed itself after about 3 minutes.

Right on, thank you as we wondered ourselves.

Depends on elevation, wind, balance, air temperature, etc.

I know the mini 2 is able to carry a max payload of around 17 oz so seeing that the mini 4 pro cannot even do that is not really all that impressive, but that isn't the main selling point either. More so just a peak of curiosity

The DJI Mini 2 can lift a maximum of 10 oz or 283 grams. Definitely not 17 oz. Considering the Mini 2 only weighs 249 grams, that's still darn good as it can lift more than its weight... like an ant.

For anyone out there, I see that drones have payload dropping devices now, but I really don't see a pickup type of device. Does anyone know or can they think of something that would allow me to securely attach a DJI Action 4 to my Air 2S and place it somewhere to record and then fly my drone back a few hours later to go back and pick up the drone? Any thoughts or folks that you can think of, please let me know. Thanks

That is a great question. I will investigate and be on the lookout.
