This was my first open world game and when I first started, I spent like 40 hours on the Great Plateau because I was afraid of what would happen when I left. I had depleted the area so much by the time I left that it triggered a blood moon on my way to the Dueling Peaks tower. I was very close to that empty enemy camp nearby and thought I had triggered some event that I wasn’t ready to participate in 😅 I was terrified to say the least lol

Amazing video. I actually did the same thing about a year ago, but never got passed the Lynel, so congrats. Here's a fun fact: the traveler's claymore in the bomb trial one-shots the bokoblins with a sneak strike. That's how I dealt with most of the camps in master mode. (Also, I love how you use MK Wii music, it's so nostalgic!)

you can make quite a few, here's the ones i think would work meat skewer fish skewer mushroom skewer meat and seafood fry sauteed peppers simmered fruit glazed meat glazed seafood glazed mushrooms honeyed apple honeyed fruits pepper steak peppered seafood steamed meat steamed fish steamed mushroom steamed fruit fruit and mushroom skewer meat and mushroom skewer fruit and mushroom mix fried wild greens sauteed nuts honey candy energizing elixir hasty elixir sneaky elixir dubious food rock hard food if fairies spawn on the plateau, you can make fairy tonics, if eggs spawn, then you can make omelets.

Bit of a tip with the Lionel; If you headshot them in any action, they enter a downed "mountable" state giving you several free attacks. All attacks done in this state cost 0 durability to the equipped melee. It takes a fair bit of switching back and forth between weapons to block regeneration, but if you have enough arrows and at least 2 other weapons with average durability, it should be doable with your Knight's Claymore.

Nice work my dude!! You earned yourself a new subscriber! I'm always impressed when someone defeats the Silver Lynel of the Plateau, specially because everyone's strategies seem to be different. My personal strategy was: Parry the Sylver Lynel's attacks with my shield (yes, i had to learn how to parry a Lynel that would one shot me, it took some time but i mastered it lol) then i shot an arrow to it's face, and then i'd hop on his back and smash it while riding on it. Then i repeated the process multiple times and the Lynel eventually died lol, it was very challenging but it was very fun (i died over 20 times) but every time i died i felt like i was a little bit closer to beating him, it was hard but it never felt impossible. Btw, here's a neat trick, did you know attacking a Lynel while riding on it's back DOES NOT waste weapon durability? This means you can actually attack Lynels with your strongest weapons without having to worry about breaking them lol

btw, there is a way to beat the lynel on the plateau sorta glitchless, mouting a lynel actually deals no damage to your weapon, so as long as you have arrows you can actually keep mounting him and kill him that way, i did it as sort of a challenge run wehn i was doing master, trying to kill the lynel before actually leaving the plateau, and its entirely possible!

Cool video, but I think there’s a trick you didn’t know about that should make that Lynel fight MUCH easier; every time you stun the Lynel to smash it with a rock, you could have instead ran up to it, pressed a prompt to mount it, and smashed it in the head ~5 times with any melee weapon you want, whether it’s 1-handed or 2-handed. There big kicker is that those ~5 hits with the weapon don’t use up any weapon durability at all.

Would have taken a lot longer. The rock does 100-300 damage a hit whereas my best weapon did 30 a hit. I could also hit the lynel with the rock a lot more per stun than with mounting.

fun fact about lynels: when they slow down from a charge OR after getting stunned (headshot) you can run right up and attempt to mount them. you'll have a window to stab it with your weapon while on its back. during this attack, your weapon will not lose any durability, and the attack speed is the same with any weapon type! I just tried it, it seems to be five hits

I think (and don't quote me on this, I might be wrong), you can do some sort of glitch based trickery to enter the Champion's Ballad shrines without actually starting the quest or making them appear properly, by having the elevator cutscene occur when you're nearer one of these shrines than the original intended one. So I guess in theory you could get a few more items/weapons that way? Regardless, nice video! You thoroughly cleaned out the Great Plateau here, and got quite a few weapons and items I didn't even know existed in the area. And great job with the Lynel battle too, that's one of the toughest fights in the entire game, especially with the stuff you have on the Great Plateau!

I've heard lots of praise and analysis of Breath of the Wild, but nothing quite captures the kinda-tactile-memory-like feeling of really familiarizing yourself with a well-designed aspect of a stage/lvl/mechanic that you really enjoy like some of these videos. Jopes, if you ever branch out from Nintendo, I'd be very interested to hear your takes on Death Stranding. I found out I was playing without the zipline by the time I got to the end and... I felt like I grew from that experience, lol! If you know, you know. It's probably this Lyonel's level of frustrating.

another way to kill the great plateau Lynel with the starting gear, it’s the fact that when you do an arrow headshot to the lynel, you can mount him and attacks while mounted won’t consume weapon durability. if you struggle to make headshots, another way is practicing your perfect parrys, then headshot

You can kill the lynell way faster and easier if you Headshot him>>>mount on him>>>and mash the atack button , because weapons dont lose durability with the mounting animation,you can kill him with a stick but of course would take ages

I’m impressed with the Rock strategy, though you can cheese the Lynel with mounting it since attacking it while mounted won’t waste durability and for the spin attack you can crouch underneath the Lynel to avoid it Though shield bashing is what I do since it stuns them long enough for a headshot

I'm not sure if this is still in the game or it's been patched out, but when the game launched you could kill lynels with bad weapons by only hitting them while mounted, because weapons didn't lose any durability while mounted. Killing it with a rock is worth it for the style points though :)

I actually managed to beat the Lynel without magnesis before getting the paraglider. When you mount a lynel and hit it, you don’t use weapon durability. Using this and a lot of arrow headshots, I killed it after a few tries. You could also use the mighty rhino beetles right outside the shrine of resurrection to get an attack boost if that helps. Sorry for prattling on, I just love giving out company tips!

You can kill that Lynel a lot easier by climbing on its back after shooting it in the face. Weapons don't degrade while riding a Lynel, and the Soldier's Claymore makes decently short work of it.
