How Much Derek Chauvin’s Wife Got in Divorce Settlement

Derek Chauvin is facing life in prison if convicted of murdering George Floyd, but the life he lived before that fateful day is already over. Last year, protestors gathered outside his home following Floyd’s death, with some scrawling “murderer” on his driveway. Just days later, his wife of 10 years, Kellie Chauvin, filed for divorce, and in a statement expressed sympathy for Floyd’s family. Divorce court documents show that in their final settlement, Kellie got over $700,000. #InsideEdition

Actually, Chauvin probably agreed to this on purpose to protect their assets. In fact, before this settlement, Chauvin agreed to practically give up all his assets to her and leave with literally nothing to move the assets from his name to her name to avoid lawsuits in the future but the judge saw through this and rejected the settlement in suspicion of possible fraud

It was a smart financial decision by both of them in order to move their assets from Chauvin's name to her name.
