You found some great items. I totally agree with your ideas about thrifting and saving money. If you just have patience, it really pays off. It is getting harder to find bargains at the thrift stores where I live, especially clothes. I do sometimes find good clothes at estate sales. I don't like paying retail prices for anything really.

I don't know why, but I'm not finding a lot lately either. These finds were the culmination of one thing here, another there for 2-3 weeks. I know it's still helpful, so when it makes sense with my driving route, I stop in. (Gas prices make it tricky right now too.) We keep trying and remain thankful for the blessings we have. 😊

That was a fun video, such a great idea to compare the savings for a bunch of items. That saving is a conservative amount as you chose the cheapest retail price - it could be more. I especially love getting something secondhand or free when it's a good saving and something I need (as opposed to want ha ha). So glad you found those dresses for yourself. I've found that TJ Maxx has a lot of great savings on kids clothes. I've found Carter's clothing for under $10 that was labeled as last season. Hope the weather warms up in Idaho! It's finally feeling like spring in New Jersey.

I totally agree. Secondhand is the smart way to go. I have shopped Goodwill and so many local thrift stores (to many mention) for years. A whole lot of my home decor and furniture came from thrifting as well as wall decor. Pretty much all my clothing and shoes came from thrifting as well. Most days, everything but my underwear, came from a thrift store. I also garage sale and curbside pick. Have found quite a few usable things put out for garbage pick-up. Once curbside picked at a house (a rental property I believe) where I assume the renters were evicted and left pretty much everything behind, including canned goods, spices, and baking mixes. I brought home 12 to 15 large trash bags pf usable things (clothes, food, toys, shoes, purses) that I kept, shared with family and friends or donated. I love secondhand shopping and curbside picking.
