For Bonus Menu Book number 42, we tackle the Gr.1 Prototype Series and we have the usual three races, one in each of the geographic locations, being America, Europe and Asia and we are racing for a six-star roulette ticket.
In this second run of the first race we purchase a McLaren VGT and then head back to America and the Daytona International Speedway to see if this new car will make any difference. Can we take our woeful 9th place in the first run and turn that into a race win? Will the McLaren really make that much difference.

My online name is Mitchell Morgan and this is my Sony PlayStation 5 (PS5) Gran Turismo 7 based channel, going under the name of PlayStation Racer. I love racing on motor racing sim games and Gran Turismo has been my favourite for many years. I have been playing GT7 since it was released on my other profile, but this is a complete rerun on my new profile for my new PlayStation Racer channel and my new team Mitchell Morgan Racing. As this channel develops, I plan to try my hand at other motor racing games and those will also feature from time to time.
On this channel I will be touching on nearly all of the elements of GT7 gameplay, sharing my hints, tips and experiences with my audience as I play through the game from start to finish.

I believe i initially used the 919 Hybrid to place in 2 of the 3 races (i used the 2016 Audi R18 dor Suzuka because i wanted fo mix it up). Porshe is slow on top end but has incredible turning and acceleration, along with its battery slowly recharging as you accelerate above 155mph (roughly 250km/h)

The McLaren VGT is one of those that is hard to handle around the corners, but it's great on straightaways you will make up the time.

I must admit the Audi looked beautiful but apprecite it’s performance that matters and the Mclaren gives you that. I can’t imagine what it must be like to drive that 404 mph Tomohawk!!

Just out of curiosity, did you go back and repeat this race on hard difficulty level? Just looking at your lap times of around 1:32 you’re about 2 seconds a lap faster than I am around here, but I have only managed to finish 30 seconds behind the leader at best (on hard difficulty) - with the top racers on hard getting lap times of around 1:30 - just wondering if your practice has paid off and if you did manage to win on hard was it worth the effort. New to the channel, only found your videos this morning but really enjoyed this and you sound like a genuine normal bloke and you’ve earned a sub 👍

Hello and thank you for the sub, it is very much appreciated. TBH, I have completed all of the World Circuit races on the hard settings, for my own gratification but some of them were very hard and time consuming and I did not do videos for all because many people had asked for me to do them on normal. That said, my racing skills have developed significantly, and I now only complete these for the first time on hard. Once completed, I grind them, or complete the Weekly Challenges using Easy - just for the credits. Practice, definitely makes you better and it is worth it to practice on different tracks with different cars, but I have found that racing the AI can lead to issues when you race online. For this reason, I complete these races for the channel once only and then leave them alone. If i need to learn a new track for my lobby racing, etc. I will usually set up a special race in the game to race against one class up. If you are around Monday to Friday from 21:00 (UK) time, feel free to drop by our lobby or check us out on YT and you will see what I mean. I am fairly quick (I think) against the AI but then I realize how slow and inconsistent I am when racing real people. Online racing really opens up the enjoyment of this game.

@@playstationracer67 I managed to check out a good 20 minutes of the stream last night (but missed most of it due to the football being on!) but something I will definitely keep coming back to in the future. I was watching some of your racing and you definitely have improved over this video - I cant remember which track it was you were on (one with a bridge) but your times were very good, and you definitely have improved. The AI definitely tends to lead you to brake earlier, as you are waiting for them to brake at a ridiculously early stage into a corner, or even mid corner, so I will definitely take on board that advice and start doing some online races against real competitors rather than assuming because I beat the AI that I am a fast driver.

Hi Erik, I had a little shake in my wheel when running in the Valkyrie last night at full speed. It was only momentarily and I simply gripped the wheel harder until it passed. This is the first time that I have experienced that. I had turned the force feedback up to max on my G29 just before and I think that might have contributed to the effect. since youtube said i need to watch this: the power setting gives you better fuel economy and LESS power if you increase it (5 is very lean, so very little fuel gets used and very little power gets produced)

Where do I find this power setting?? I’ve spent 3 mill on 3 cars I’m now broke and still can’t do this race without the need to refuel twice, I can’t see power setting 1-5 unless you mean the ecu output from 100 to 80 or something?

@@nickarry you have to use your dpad, it's on the bottom right side. You'll be able to increase and decrease with up and down.

Wtf… bought a car and ran out of fuel by lap 4. Spent another milly and same again!!! So desperate for solutions I saw this vid and though finally it’s the right car, raced and by lap 4 I had 0.8 laps of fuel left! No matter what car I always need to refuel twice and now I’m broke! Wasted 3 min and can’t complete the race with a win
