It's a great video but I would like to see a more in depth version that includes all the additional costs such as travel insurance, activities like padel tournaments, recording equipment, cameras, laptops and batteries etc. I imagine the real cost must be at least $3000+ per month, considering these expenses.
@JooseTheNomad3 ай бұрын
@@theobigbusiness Thanks! I've many videos going through the costs in different destinations, that's why I kept it short in this one. And yeah I don't include business expenses in the breakdowns as it's obviously very different for us all. With the flights, did you already have an itinerary lined up to travel on to the next country and have that flight booked also or did you just use something like onwardticket? I think most places will look to see if you have an exit ticket booked. I definitely hear you about the extra KG for flights, especially with a lot of the low cost airlines in Asia, ticket it really cheap but some only include carry on luggage in the price. I've been stung with this before (my own fault) because I didn't read the small print, it's definitely something that people should watch out for.
@JooseTheNomad2 ай бұрын
@@ANomadOverseas I usually have the flights already but I think rarely I have been asked to show tickets anyway. But it's good to have just in case, and yeah I learned that lesson in Vietnam when I got charged a lot for extra weight. Better to pay little bit extra for 30kg than a lot in the airport😄

@@JooseTheNomad Funny enough it was Vietnam for me also, turned up to the check in desk with the then girlfriend and ended up paying about 3x the price of the tickets for luggage because I didn't read the small text lol. It was a very good lesson to learn, but an expensive one :D
