Hi Joose, shoutout for this one. There's a lot of rest and comfort in renting and investing the money you would've used for a build or buy. Especially in these countries there's a lot of stuff that could go wrong and it's still a long-term lease. I'd say if you don't want to get in the business of renting out property and the hassles that accompany it, just put it in some low-cost indexfunds and start compounding for the long-term. Real estate is quite overrated in my opinion, especially if you like moving a lot. Keep doing what you do, thanks for authenticity!

Lived in Playa Del Carmen for the last 3 years. Trust me. You wont like it. Really expensive. Horrible food and drugs and cartel. Its basically just a long strip of bars. No mountains nothing to see. Nice beach I guess however a lot of problems with seaweed. Thats why I moved to Bali.

So I can say it :) But you brought up a good point when you responded to people not liking Bali and you asked them where they stayed "I wouldn't like Bali either if I stayed there" I've been in Canggu for about a month and yeah. Great point. If you stay in Batu bolong close to the beach (Like I did) you wont like it but if you go 4 mins to Pererenan its going to be a night and day difference. Great videos man. And at some points, you will be back to Bali again because no perfect place in this earth, but Bali feels like home for many people. There are many people left, but that space is always filled with new people who called Bali home and decided to settle down. The good thing about being in Bali is that you can be bored where you stay, but you can always escape to different areas whether for staycation or just complete moving. To me, even staying in a villa for a day is a treat.

The central government is now focusing a lot on health care improvement in Bali as they want to make Bali as the international medical hub of Indonesia. Probably will be good for tourism as well. My only concern as Balinese is cultural and infrastructure degradation. Meaning, development by investors are faster than what the government can offer to the public facilities.

Three years is nothing. I've seen people thriving as DN or remote workers for five, seven, ten years, and it's fine. It's still way better than nine-to-five office jobs. Also, if you earn enough with some portion of your income going to savings, that's the dream of many people. I personally won't trade it with others. Freedom and flexibility are the most important to stay happy.

Hey man, I'll try to keep it short. I guess you sometimes feel lonely, as everyone does. But how bad is it ? I know you speak about meeting a lot of people etc but Idk. Are you able to maintain new friendships here ? I've always been super social and I feel like this would maybe be a problem to me if it wasn't possible. Also, you mentionned you quit your IT job. Contrats on that, it must be really nice to only focus on content creation. But do you get some sort of impostor syndrome ? Like all your friends back in Finland must have done great schools and are becoming ingeneers and surgeons etc, even you must have spent years studying what you were previously hired for. And yet here you are doing amazing on your side, litteraly living a dream life on paradise islands it's like... I don't know, that deconnection must feel really awkward sometimes. (Please don't understand this as I am minimizing the job you're doing. I work in VFX, trust me I know how hard it is to be a content creator, and I am very impressed with the constant quality of your work.) I am not by any means trying to make you feel bad or reconsider your choices. I am just asking those questions because these are the only things that really stop me from going there, and I feel the call from south east asia stronger and louder every day.

I'm quite introverted so nowadays I'm all good with the friends I have here and back home but definitely having a parter is very nice. I'm very happy with my life here, it's much better for me than the life I had back in Finland. I'm just happy if my friends are doing great back there. I don't fully understand the concern of the second part😄🙏🏽

That way you don't necessarily need that many views to start making meaningful income😊

Why don't influencers ever leave Bali? You're getting an Indonesian visa, not a Bali visa. There's a whole entire country outside the most touristic destination. I don't even plan on going to Bali lol. The Gilis are a nice middle ground, far too touristy for my tastes. Lombok, Flores, Sumatra, Kalimantan... People don't even visit Jakarta, they just wanna take their Instagram pics and overpay for everything. It's crazy to me that the people who make exploration their lifestyle choose the most mundane choices
