I am not Muslim, I am American Christian, however I wear these Abayh’s but we call them shifts or tunics here. I have many colors, velvets, silks, etc, and I wear them over a sleeveless long shirt and stretchy style yoga pants. I work with the public and get compliments DAILY on the way I dress. It’s modest, but flowing and beautiful. Some of my dresses/shifts I’ve ordered from Dubai, and those I get the most compliments on. Beautiful rich fabrics there.

Sorry but real saint's don't follow Arab culture,i mean yes we should cover up but we don't need to from head to toe.jeans or pants that cover things and a covered up shirt will do.the lord doesn't ask us to but a vail over our head, cause remember in the new testament Yeshua lifted that vail off our heads.

As Salaam Alaikum…Dear One. Those shops has beautiful Abayas pieces. Love the hand beaded ornate ones. When I lived in Miami, I walk into shops of that kind to buy Saris & Dupattas. They get pricy if you look for embellishments on fabric, especially Organzas. Because of the culture, lots of love and care for such beautiful pieces must be cared for, it’s delicate. I would only wear mine on special Occasions and in appropriate places. Yet the Abayas look so trendy, a fresh designer look for everyday wear. It’s the layering that makes it so fashionable. Thank you for the videos, I miss my church family and singing in Arabic, my daughters were choir members, very active in the church. We had so much joy, it was truly a beautiful community. Haven’t seen one like it here where I live now (temporarily). You brought back great memories for me, I thank you Habibi. May Allah rest upon your heart! 🫶😇

Respectfully from 🇨🇦: WHY are women (only) expected to cover up so extremely to suggest modesty?! Are men not taught to respect women and their physical autonomy? And why in black, of all the beautiful and wonderful colours available in nature? I am confused and curious. Thank you. 🇨🇦

Good question Black color is not compulsary you can wear any color of your choice. As black color have low attraction so it is prefered. Only women are expected to cover beacuse in islam men are forbidden to watch beauty of non mehrem women. Women can watch men hence men have no need to cover.
