Great video. Interesting on the Diana front as I enjoyed her a lot! Saying "No!" to the game so frequently felt really empowering. Regarding using the ward of protection for a real threat rather than will boost, for me what worked was tech that helped you find the twilight blade such as Backpack(2) or Prepared for the Worst. The blade and a topped up "basement" (Playingboardgames reference, cards beneath Diana) made her basically unstoppable. Quite reliably, Diana's "basement" became an extra hand of cancels available on-tap. Enchanted Blade and the Edge spell suite also ease out the transition somewhat until Diana gets to high willpower.

Congrats on the 1 year anniversary Daniel. You really have a knack for explaining many of the game's esoteric concepts, as well as the ability to vocalize your strategy in an understandable manner. I don't follow the playthroughs as much these days (lack of time), but I wish you continued success on the channel.

Imo there are two keys to a good Dexter deck. 1) Deckbuilding: Dexter loves assets. You can run almost a full deck of assets and he's fine. But some of them should be stat boosters like Blood Pact (0) or High Roller or very low cost like Lone Wolf. 2) Playstyle: Dexter is at his best when he's played extremely reactively. If a card in your hand is more immediately useful than one in play, then replace it. Even if it's an asset that still has some juice in it, drop it. It's a very scrappy way to play, but I love it and no other investigator allows you to do it. Basically treat assets like events.

Thanks for posting this and it is hard to believe that your channel is only 1 year old! Excellent discussion of your tastes in investigator and what you like about each one that you have played. I like seeing other people's tastes and game play styles. For me, Amina and Diane are ones I have had a blast playing. With both, I played them as monster killers through campaigns and made use of their 3 fight in fun ways. Diane in particular I also like because I am a guardian main and find her off-class access intriguing. Looking forward to your content around the new releases with the new Arkham design team at the helm.

Only played the first 5 investigators so far my current favourite is Agnes, found Daisy to be meh but a lot of that is to do with small card pool and lack of tomes, even Skids was more fun 8 damage in one round was cool but can see his limitations. Enjoying the experience of trying each investigator next 5 already here stuff to try and expanded card will change everything.

i'm sad you dont like Diana if you're playing alone, you do what you said but while playing multiplayer you should start it support get "In the thick of it" to put Brother Xavier and "I've had worse", or even 2 copies if you get "Offer you cannot refuse" basic weakness I usually play "Down the Rabbit Hole" (not to get its full use, but to enhance my early levels, in which i'm not interested to pick new cards but The Key of Solomon) if multiplayer, try to use "Hand of Fate" and upgrade your "Holy Rosary", then use "The Key of Solomon" to heal (or even get resources when your friends put curse tokens in the bag) also, ugpgrading your "Ward of protection" are better than "Deny Existence", which is relevant once you fight/investigate spells are at level 5, so you can heal while getting the bad chaos tokens you might have a good time doing her support (my english is probably awful, but i hope you get the idea)

21:10 Quantum Flux is a way to mitigate Sefina's weakness, and to get more uses out of the painted world.

Painted World removes itself from the game, but yeah, Quantum Flux is a must in Sefina I think.

I recommend smoking pipe over thermos in bob. It's less action and resource intensive, synergises extremely well with joey, and your bandages can eat the damage.

if I recall correctly in this particular campaign the thermos was more to heal other people; i think at least one investigator had double trauma with in the thick of it, but yeah in general I like smoking pipe a lot! Plus, sometimes I just try out different cards to see how they go.

@@Quick_Learner I completely forgot about the healing others part. Good point. It's definitely cool to see thermos get some use. I tried for the longest time to make Grimms work as horror heal in a deck like this, but it felt horrible. The only nice thing about it was that I could give it to my Carson because Bob things.

Good video. By the way, Charlie Kane can’t take “Summon Servitor” as it doesn’t have the Ally trait. I think thematically the servitor is under indentured servitude, rather than being a team member. Though strangely, the Summoned Hound does have the Ally trait. Maybe despite its bonded weakness, the hound is a good boy at heart.

He can take Summoned Servitor if he chooses Mystic as one of his classes, which I did.

But yes, I was only able to check up to 4 boxes on the Customizable card as indeed it is not an Ally.

I've seen it do really well with most off-class mystics. Just camping on a location to clear out a VP location of clues without you needing to be there is really good, and you don't need much XP for that.
