As a golf mate from US (Pennsylvania) I was as attracted to your channel as I can relate to the manner in which you approach golf....its to have fun and get some exercise. And as OMP shows us....it's possible to break 90 even if your 60+++ years old. I look forward to seeing content that celebrates being a senior golfer....or as you guys from across the pond might put it "a senior golf mate". Love your honesty Liam. I had the feeling when we met at Chilworth that the road trip had cost you personally more than you anticipated. Maybe next time if there is a next time that Golfmates pay a bit extra than the green fee say £10-£15 to make sure that you are not out of pocket. I'm sure when I say this; every single Golfmate believes this channel to be the best and most enjoyable golf KZbin channel there is and we all want the channel and you to be successful. I know without any doubt the enjoyment I get from the channel would be greatly diminished if it was causing you to be short of money. Well written piece Vaughan with so many points that resonate with me also. In particular, the knowing that Liam is dipping into his own pocket to effectively entertain us does as you say ‘diminish’ the enjoyment of the videos etc. We must remember Liam’s new at this KZbin game, and despite the great stuff he’s posted, he must be still finding his feet to a degree and on a steep learning curve, which I’m sure he’ll crack in the fullness of time. Liam’s created a unique channel and captured the imagination of so many Golfmates (worldwide) which his down to his obvious dedication and commitment, but most of all his sense of humour and being a thoroughly nice bloke. People love the content, I pay a lot more for my sky sports membership and don't get half the enjoyment out of watching it compared to your channel.

American here.. found your channel recently, became a golf mate, and have been binge watching. Playing golf regularly this year for the first time in 17 years. Took OMP's approach with me yesterday and shot an 80! (3 tee mulligans - 2 on the front and 1 on the back). Well I put this video off till a later time because I am working my way through your backlog of videos. I am watching from Ohio and I thoroughly enjoy these. I retired in 2017 but for several years before that, several friends from work and I played golf as often as we could, many times we were in “meetings” that were held in open air surroundings 😁. We typically played about as you and your group, and that’s why I can identify with this channel. Very serious USGA types were weeded out and one was known as “The Funsucker” as he was always complaining about trivialities such as the occasional use of the foot wedge, things of that nature. How can this guy not be popular in the US I am an expat now living here and I pass on golf mates KZbin info every time I play with someone new. Liam you are doing I fabulous job please don’t quit. Your travels are great to watch over and over. I’ve seen some comments about golf being more serious in the US but I don’t get that very few that I play with have official handicaps mainly because they don’t care enough. Me included I play because I love the game, the camraderie, a cold beverage (beer) after the round, socializing in general. Great stuff I hope you make millions!
