As a former pastor I have often thought of what I would do outside of the pulpit. It struck me that a lot of what I’ve speak on today has little to do with proselytization and more to do with practical living. Think I’ll look into this. Thanks!👍🏼

I would say just starting out you could ask for 500 and get that fairly consistently.

That is such a needed topic. Have you gotten registered as a minority and veteran-owned business? There are probably a lot of government contracts available. I'd check it out if you haven't already!

@@TheCEOSpot not yet. I'm currently gathering as much information as possible so I can.
@TheCEOSpot2 жыл бұрын
@@SethTheSpeaker I don't specialize in getting government contracts, but with the area you are looking to serve in, I'd recomend checking into it! They set aside a certain percentage of government contracts each year for special groups like women owned businesses, minority owned, veteran owned etc. And so many of those go unclaimed each year. The military will definitly hire through that channel.

This was so helpful! I have been looking for ways to profit off of what I do. I love it, but want to be doing this world full time, and needed to figure out how to profit off of it. Do you suggest setting like a “menu” almost? So the prices are the same across the board?
@TheCEOSpot3 жыл бұрын
I suggest having a starting point where your speaking fee is standard, but be prepared to negotiate. For example, if they can't pay your full fee, they could buy books for their attendees. If you are offering consulting, coaching, or programs, you would want to have set packages. Reach out if you want to talk about your strategy and map out how to take your speaking biz full time!

I would be very grateful for your experience and knowledge, please suggest to me, which course to do if required.

How do I start speaking as a motivational speaker?
@TheCEOSpot2 жыл бұрын
If you've already perfected your speech, start with your rotary clubs, local church groups, volunteer to speak for sales teams. They are always looking for speakers. They might be free in the beginning, but you can use your first few to get referrals for paid gigs.

What kind of speakers talk about personal issues like abuse, trauma?
@TheCEOSpot2 жыл бұрын
I recommend having two "tracks." One that is an empowerment track where you use your experiences and stories to show people that they can overcome hard things. That will be easily applicable in Businesses, universities, entrepreneur audiences. And then you can have a track where you go deeper with overcoming abuse and trauma. The first track has more widespread demand and can give you the cash flow to really serve in the second. Abuse and trauma is more niched. There are paid speaking gigs for abuse and trauma. But there will also be a lot of volunteer opportunities. Having two tracks makes you more bookable for more organizations.
