I have a meter that I can even read online on my mobile. Are you aware that with a low income you automatically get a much reduced social tarif? So perhaps better to get an own account with EDP. I lived a few years ago just from my savings and got this tariff automatically. For a whole quinta I pay max 60€ in electricity - including the water pumps for irrigation.

HELLO. I HAVE A MODERN METER, IT READS DIRECTLY, I CHANGED THE NORMAL LIGHT BULBS FOR LEDS, I REDUCED THE TEMPERATURE OF THE BATH WATER IT GAVE ME GOOD RESULTS, I ALSO USE GAS, I DON'T USE HEATERS, AND I HAVE FAVORABLE METHODS

Is your house well insulated? I live in the historic district of Tomar 400year old house, l do have new windows and entry door. But it gets very damp and cold in the winter months. I would not be able to live without an electric heater. We are not allowed to have wood stoves either. In the historic area.Yes I can check my consumption on my meter but can’t see how much it is in Euros directly have to ask landlord. I know others that pay even more as they use heaters in every room in the apartment not even living in the centre of town like I do . Thanks for charging your tips.

@@liveyourbestlifeover50 MY HOUSE IS VERY OLD, VERY HUMID. I NEVER TURN ON HEATERS! I TRY TO VENTILATE THE HOUSE. TODAY I SAW 1 ARTICLE ABOUT LIME, WALLS WITH LIME ARE MORE HYGIENIC! BUT NOW AND EVERYTHING IS PAINT! LED LAMPS SPEND 4W WHICH IS EQUIVALENT TO 1 (NORMAL) 60W! I use it with a yellowish tint, I DON'T LIKE WHITE IT MAKES THE ENVIRONMENT COLDER
