For me I choose Radiology out of pure passion, i cant stand nursing .. i also hold a bachelors degree just like my cousins.. I believe i make good money and live very comfortable in USA.. so i am curious are we very underrated and low payed in london??? does a radiographer with CT / MRI specialization not make a salary same as nurses? Atleast the place i work my hourly salary is same as my fellow coworker nurse who got the same years of experience .. but her stress level is higher and works more than i do 😂

Hello, kuya! I am also a Registered Radiologic Technologist here in the Philippines. Currently a CT Scan and General Radiographer but will soon also become an MRI Scanner. What can you say po life in UK? I am having second thoughts po kasi whether to continue processing my CORU registration which is for Ireland or to go HCPC. A lot of other Radtech from Ireland said they have higher salary than the ones working in UK but whenever I see videos of people just going about their day in UK, the cities, the places, there is something in there really captures my heart. They also said that regardless of how long you've been working from other countries, the moment you decide you want to work in UK, you litearally have to start from scratch po. Like maybe start from the lowest paying bracket, is that true po or do they count the years of experience from countries regardless of what country you're from?

Highest is MRI.. for example here in USA xray pay an hour is $ 20 to max $ 30, CT pay is $30 to max 46 and MRI pay is $33 to $52 sometime more… agency pay ofcourse even if its local one day work even CT tech get more than $50 and MRI tech get $70 and more..

for General Radiographer you always start with Band 5 no matter how many years of experience, as long as you are outside UK. But if you are lucky you might get hired for a Band 6. Just make sure you are HCPC resgistered

in my own experience, since I started my Radtech career in st.lukes-bgc back in 2009-2013, Our patient back then was 2-3 px an hour for 8hrs shiift, not including ER px as far as I remember, while here in the UK our average px for 12hrs shift is around 40-50 px in one CT scan machine, and we are running 3 CT Scan.

you still need atleast 2-3yrs exp, its one of the requirements when you apply for hcpc-uk registration

Direct hire ako, hnd ako nag agency, I just did everything on my own. I applied kc here in the Uk while im working in Saudi before, so after ako maregister s hcpc, nag apply apply n ako online, luckily may pumayag ng skype interview and I got the job, so hnd n ako umuwi ng pinas, mas maluwag p n dun ako s saudi nagprocess.

Ang dami kong natutunan kung pano mag process and nag karoon ako idea kung magkano ba talaga po sweldohan natin dyan nahihiya po ako mag chat nang mga seniors kong andyan sa uk baka sabihin ang kulit ko po hehehehe buti po at andyan kayo mag youtube willing to share. yup kht direct hire ka, need mo p rn dumaan ng agency pag jan ka s pinas nahire, yan ang policy ng POLO, for me its ok pra s protection dn ng OFW n ppunta s ibang bansa, pra dn may matakbohan cla n agency if ever mgkaroon cla ng problem, pero pgdating nman d2 s mga European country e wla nman problem kahit direct hire ka. Pero may mga bansa kc n mdyo hnd ok ang pgTrato s ibang ofw lalo n pg direct hire. Ayw ko n lng mgbanggit ng bansa 😅
