You need to be from a good Institute true but you also need mind You need to know what salary your skills deserve Because colleges don't let you sit in another aptitude test of higher income placements if you have already got one So if you will think that its easy to be in infosys or vibgyor It's definitely easy but they won't give you more than 3 LPA and you won't be able to apply for higher placements and the worst thing is that these companies like Infosys and vibgyor Come to colleges before any other company So basically you will need to know weather to take risk or go with the flow and take 3 LPA In these companies Because of course, the higher the package the harder to qualify If you will qualify you will be proud for your decision but if you won't you will have intense regret for the same thing

It depends from which college he is graduating. If he from any top institute like IIT, NIT,IIIT,BITS then It is a proud thing but again that is a very small section about 4-5% who are graduating from these colleges. Rest 95-96% people are still pursuing their engineering from private institutes.

As an intern in AI/ML , u get 15k in Chennai in a TATA subsidiary company. Avg. startinb salary of ML Engineer is 7.2 LPA to 7.5 LPA and your position will be ML Engineer I, then after 1 yr of exp. , u get ML Engineer II position and salary 10 LPA. This is what I got and what I am getting right now.
